hey, i wanted your guys' opinions on this essay. i thought it was pretty good, and i think the whole site is informative and kinda funny. am i the only one who thinks this is a good site? what do you think?!

___I know people who are true Wiccans. They do seem to avoid most of my questions about how in depth their assumptions about their gods are, but if I'm not good enough to be a part of their little world then it's their loss.

___The flaunty type of "Wiccans" however are everywhere and they are just the opposite, I can't ever get them to shut up. It wouldn't be so bad if some of the things they said made sense or was the least bit interesting.

___But you do have to remember that my opinions about people don't count because I hate everybody regardless of what they tell me their religion is.

I went to this site and I read the whole thing before I allowed myself to fume. Although the set-up looked good, he was rolling all the individuals that are or claim to be Wiccan into one group, which is really unfair. The people this dude is talking about are Wiccan-wanna-be’s. Real, dedicated Wiccans do not generally behave like that. He does have reason to complain about teenagers who are just looking for a new fad and have missed the point if Wicca completely. But he says, “It's the Wiccans I can't stand... Every day I see ‘Wiccans’ defile the religion of Wicca.” as if all Wiccans behave in this manner. If he is going to give up on Wicca because of a bunch of dumb high schoolers are running around claiming to be Wiccan in order to stir things up, then he was really never dedicated to it in the first place. How lame.

im wiccan and well all the people at my school are so like freaked out by it. like i tell them that it's not evil and they're like well yes it is and that you need jesus and that its bad and crap. I just wish everyone would see that it's not bad and that it is good.

hehe, i was talking to someone the other day and she was "wiccan." i told her that i used to be, but now im a witch and neopagan. she asked what do you mean, witch and not wiccan? i laughed so hard.

I'm glad there is finally someone out there to write something that'll shove the numerous fluff-kids back into there dark closets. I hate girls at my school who read books and suddenly know everything about wicca. What the ****! its a new movement and its killing the religion<i know thats not spelt right i seemed to have misplaced my handy little dictionary>

Those people annoy me so much.

yeah, not all the facts are right and most of it is opinionated, but i think it's a good wake up call for all the fluff bunnies out there, hehe

I posted somthing with this website on it. It is a pretty good website, not all its sources are true though.

yeah, it was actually aimed at wiccans, and i found it very informative and *clears throat* aimed at people like me. i admit that ive done a couple of things on that list.

Hey, I read this the other day after you put up a link on another post...I thought it was excellent. Though I'm not a Wiccan (duh), I have met a few of the fluffbunny Wiccans myself, and I did appreciate the bits about not hating Christians, since that also used to happen to me quite a lot. And I hadn't done anything to them...it's not like I went around calling them evil or anything. It's like they were trying to pick fights with me, and when I asked them questions about Wicca, they would just huff at me and walk away. It was very frustrating. And the pentacle thing...how I hated watching girls who suddenly became Wiccan twirl their little necklaces around and try to get attention. It's nice to know that there are people out there who actually care about a religion enough to make sure people know what it's about when they claim to be practicing it. Also, it was really informative for me, since I am currently trying to learn about other religions. Thanks for the link. Jen.

its interesting and funny cus its true though and i still have to finish readin' it, cus i only read half. but i am interested in readin' it. i do have an open mind you know...so ill get back to you when im done readin' it L8ter!
