Lack of substance. Why are teens today so… shallow…. We are defined by the cloths we wear, the people are hang with, and the music we lesion to. If were not beautiful… then we are treated like $hit. Plain and simple. Oblivious to the feelings of others. I hope none here have to know the feeling of being scared to wake up… scared to leave there own house. Scared to talk, scared to even look at someone. So harsh to others, and for what?! EVERYONE HURTS! No one wants to be treated wrong. To be laughed at, alienated, rejected, … hurt. What is it people get out of bullying? Does everyone ever stop to see the hurting in peoples eyes? To attempt to conceive the pain this person is feeling? Or does it not matter sense we ourselves can’t feel it? I was Pain radiated off people, so everyone around them know what they felt like… I wonder if someone else’s happiness would be in are best interest then. Do you believe these people are happy with themselves, that they are comfortable with there indifferences? Do they need you to point out every little thing they do/say wrong? Anyone here who sees these thing happening to someone and does nothing to help, is no better then the very poison that slowly and painfully kills them. I wonder how many people will cry themselves to sleep because of what people say/do to them. I wonder how many people will wish they were dead.. Or worse. I wonder how many people will care. I hope you all always have friends. Someone to care about how you fell. Because if there is just 1 who doesn’t then there are too many who don’t. When will we start to care about each other? When will we start to love each other? If we don’t then no one will. Please for me. Just help someone. Give a homeless man your shoes, or if you are walking down the street and you see a family without an umbrella then give them yours. If someone is being picked on , stand up for them. If someone is hurt, try to help them stop. Don’t ignore the feels of others. Care, and people will start to care. Let this idea of indifference, and Better then, Idea end with us. Show compassion. Be loving, not hateful. It is impossible I know. But if we all one, helped one, then we are that much better. Or at the very least. Just care…. quote:
Be kind and compassionate to one another…

I hate my family, they left me. My Dad wouldn't even care if I was dead. Nor anyone else. I only love my b/f Dustin. But, I try to be nice to everyone. But sometimes you just got to be mean. *sorry for my mistakes* -DepressedWithoutReason

quote: You take way to much pride in your context twisting.
I keep hearing that, but whenever I ask someone to post the full passage from the Bible, they never seem to or if they do...they never reply again. Your YN name should be Augustine and mine should be Pelagius.

I don't hate you either. I respect your knowledge and intelligence. And about knocking down my opinions, you never have... except maybe in your own mind. You take way to much pride in your context twisting.

yes I was being sarcastic, in fact the post I am thinking of that I sort of stood up for you, was telling you to jump in and say what you have to and be who you are. If you have a problem with anything I said...don't feel you have to back track. I encourage you to point out where I might be wrong. I'm not going to hate you for it, Joey and Korith both drive me up the wall at times...and I don't hate either one of them, they both have my respect as human beings who have rights to say what they believe, and I have a right to knock it all down.

quote: Do you really think American teens/America in general is THAT shallow? People are always complaining about this, but most people I know aren't that superficial. I wonder if we're just stereotyping here, or if I just happen to be surrounded by less shallow people than most.
There are some very shallow people, and once in my life I was one of them. I think as young people we tend to make mistakes and due things that aren't correct, what we learn from it all is the question. In my school, yes there were shallow people and there were kids singled out and abused by others. One kid in my school killed himself because of the actions of people I hung around with. I was the last person in the world to say something nice to that kid, Jeremy was his name, and Jeremy was my wake up call. The question is, can we all wake up with out it costing more lives? what I said when Jeremy asked me if I hated him on his last day on my bus was "No Jeremy I don't hate you" and he asked "why, everyone else does?" and I said "You have never given me a reason to hate you." He sat back and when it came to his stop...he still got off the bus and stuck a shot gun in his mouth, and had I known why he asked me...know I would have got off that bus with him, I would have stopped him...even though I hardly knew him...that kids is why you shouldn't torture other people. The 2 kids responsible for his death, two people I grew up with, are also dead now. One was killed in a car accident and the other died of alcohol poisoning.

quote: You [sorry to single you out Billy, not how I generally like to do things] however are on more of a crusade to tell people they are wrong and have to believe what you believe. You are not better then the same people you persecute.
Have I asked anyone to believe anything I believe? Show me the quote. I am not on a crusade to tell people they are wrong, I am on a crusade to point out and bring to light things that I believe are messing up this world. Do I believe it is Christians? Nope. Do I believe it is people who lie about what is in the bible, do I believe it is people who lie about US History, do I believe it is people who feel they are obligated to enforce laws which enforce their morals upon a society...a free society at that? You bet, and if I am wrong for standing up for and looking out for the rights of all of our citizens, if I am wrong for pointing out to Christians the things people are saying in the Cristian name, then Korith may you light your torches in the night and come knocking at my door. Until that day I will continue to look out for and defend...even you. Yes I am a harsh critic of the bible, but can you look down upon me for believing you are being lied to? Even the words of the bible go against what most Christians say they believe, Joey being the prime example as I have pointed out. Everything he says is against what Jesus says, so Korith...who is more wrong, me for knowing the truth of the bible, or one who goes against it? Again Korith, I am not out to burn Christians at the stake, I simply want us all to be accountable for our actions and accountable for those who represent us. This happens to be a Christian dominated board, if it were otherwise, you would see a whole other side of me, I'm against the moral corruption of society, no matter what you believe. Every holy book I know of has something hateful and cruel, every single one puts down another sex or another race. This maybe your God, but it isn't mine. The only proof I need of that is to look around at the great ceations of earth. Why would a God create it all...to destroy it? Corruption lies in the hearts and minds of people, and when you read corruption, there is only one source of corruption...people...no matter what book you read it from. And with these statements I have just made, by your rules I am damned, I should drop to my death on the spot I sit. Yet today Korith, you know what happend to me? It rained all over the city I live in, as I drove there was rain falling everywhere except on the far west corner of my city(about a 2 mile radius never saw a drop of rain)...where I live. So...is this the power of God Korith since I am a non-believer in your religion? Or is there some way you can just brush it off and try and convince kids it only happens to believers? It's dumb luck, there's no magic behind it. Now that was going off! Stop telling me I am attacking you...I am much better at it then you think. I attempt to be fair and I attempt to give everyone an option to respond to my posts, your idea of attack is the simple fact...that I don't agree with you.

I think hate is just as natural and healthy as love. If you say you don't hate anyone, you're kidding yourself.
Just be good little Christians and smile at everyone. That way everything works out.
