I disagree that if gay marriages are legalized that there will be any increase in STD's. Either way, everyone is going to have sex. Wether you like it or not.

I'd like to say one thing on the President's behalf. He doesnt have complete control of this situation. Some day, probably decades after he's been retired, we'll find out something like "President Bush was against the gay marriage but Congress had enough power and votes from the people to pass the law." Bush can veto it, but if Congress passes it AGAIN, he really can't do anything.

I'm not saying I know what's on his mind. He could be totally for gay marriage for all I know. I just like to think that he, being Christian, knows what it says in Romans 12 about homosexuality. Another reference is in Deuteronemy (sp? sorry I've always had a hard time spelling that one) I think and another in Ezekiel, although I can't remember the exact references.

But yeah! God made a man, and God made a woman. Whoopdidoo. Did He just do it for fun? I don't think so. If He meant guys to marry guys, He wouldnt make women. If He meant girls to marry girls, He wouldnt make men.

Of course, all the atheists don't care what God has to say, so I'll quit that for now.

In any case, I'm against homosexuality. It's like selling yourself to your body. Once gay marriages are legalized, doctor bills will triple because there will suddenly be lots more people coming down with STD and AIDS and such. It's a hazard.

But gay people are nice people. No more reason to look down on them than on me or you. I just don't want to see anyone get sick.

And another thing do u have any idea how hard it is for gays to get jobs in the air-force, army, navy, They don't let gays in because they think gays can't work as hard as us strights can. Hello, I am a bisexual female. I feel that what i have seen on this post is wrong and disturbing. To say that homosexuals ruin the world is just stupid of any of you to say, i think it is people like you (people who are closed minded and unacceptable about the way people are) who ruin the world. People like you who complain and moan about something that isnt even an issue. Homosexuality is NOT wrong, its a lifestyle, its a way people live, and no one is pushing anything on anyone. I had also seen things posted such as "disease ridden people". well the same goes for straight people, homosexuals and hetrosexuals have the same problems, just because youre a homosexual, doesnt mean youre automatically prone to having or catching a disease such as HIV/AIDS. At this point in time, yes, it is a problem. But its also a problem among black people, and you dont hate them for it, do you? i would hope not. i just want you all (people who have discriminated) to know i am sickend by the way you act. shame on you for thinking like this. but most of all, for all of you who are strictend to your bible for thinking this way.

What you said was very hypocritical. It is known that the pope is against the pedophile priests, yet you claim he's a hypocrite for being ONLY against gays. Just about everyone here is discriminating in some way, claiming "all christians" are against gays. I know this isn't true, my best friend spooch is christian, and I'm bi. It's hard where I'm from, namely Texas, where just about everyone mindlessly supports bush because he's "the home team". If a murderer lived in your house, would you support his murder and hate of innocents? I think not. Bush seems to corrupt anything he touches. Even his saying people should be "tolerant" is mean, if you read between the lines. Tolerant makes it sound like you let them get away with something. People here seem so blind to all of the things he's done. I'd rather say, "my president adultered" than "my president only lowered ONE country into anarchy!"
I, myself, have not come out, and probably will only tell the people who can cope.

think about how we look back at the ppl who hated blacks just over 100 years ago or even around 50. we look at those ignorant baffoons and say "how could you?!" and we HOPE that if we had lived back then that we would have had the willpower to stand for what is right... to know what is right and oppose the racist ideals.

looking into the past you hope that you would be one of the ppl helping the blacks, or the jews or the women or the poor. but would you? if you don't have the power to accept gays (or muslims or the poor still) then you probably would have been one of the ignorant ppl who couldn't accept blacks. people are people. we are human. we are all entitled to the same human rights. in the future do you want ppl to look back at you and say "now there was a man ahead of his time, he could see the beauty in every human and stood up for what he beleived in" or "there's that bigot, a man who let others think and speak for him and hated other people and their ways"?

surely there are varying degrees of dislike for gays, but whether you like it or not, in the future this is how ppl will see all of you, prejudice.
