What you said was very hypocritical. It is known that the pope is against the pedophile priests, yet you claim he's a hypocrite for being ONLY against gays. Just about everyone here is discriminating in some way, claiming "all christians" are against gays. I know this isn't true, my best friend spooch is christian, and I'm bi. It's hard where I'm from, namely Texas, where just about everyone mindlessly supports bush because he's "the home team". If a murderer lived in your house, would you support his murder and hate of innocents? I think not. Bush seems to corrupt anything he touches. Even his saying people should be "tolerant" is mean, if you read between the lines. Tolerant makes it sound like you let them get away with something. People here seem so blind to all of the things he's done. I'd rather say, "my president adultered" than "my president only lowered ONE country into anarchy!"

think about how we look back at the ppl who hated blacks just over 100 years ago or even around 50. we look at those ignorant baffoons and say "how could you?!" and we HOPE that if we had lived back then that we would have had the willpower to stand for what is right... to know what is right and oppose the racist ideals.

looking into the past you hope that you would be one of the ppl helping the blacks, or the jews or the women or the poor. but would you? if you don't have the power to accept gays (or muslims or the poor still) then you probably would have been one of the ignorant ppl who couldn't accept blacks. people are people. we are human. we are all entitled to the same human rights. in the future do you want ppl to look back at you and say "now there was a man ahead of his time, he could see the beauty in every human and stood up for what he beleived in" or "there's that bigot, a man who let others think and speak for him and hated other people and their ways"?

surely there are varying degrees of dislike for gays, but whether you like it or not, in the future this is how ppl will see all of you, prejudice.

saying that homosexuality is wrong would be judging and as christians we shouldn't judge. i don't agree with that type of a lifestyle, but people have to make their own choices and live with choices that they make.

I only hate those that offer no solutions to any problem except for faith. And Jehovah's witnesses. I once got clubbed with a bible by a jehovah's witness who found out I'm bi. It was pretty funny, to tell the truth.

Christians can't say what is wrong and what is right. I am a Christian, and saying something is sinning and that everyone that does that sin is going to the bad place(sorry) is just being hypocritic. Only God can say what is right and what is wrong; I will ask you one question: What did you hope to achieve? my opinion on the topic is kinda weird. i mean, i'm a christian and i beleive in what the bible says.....but i dont really see the wrong in homosexuality.we cant prove anything about it on either side, unless we actually ARE homosexuals, so who are non-homosexuals to talk?? how do we know whether or not people are "born gay" or whether or not they arent?? i dont think that it's as big of an issue as a lot of people are trying to make it....why can't everybody just love everyone?? i mean not in that special way, but if we just accept everybody for who they are, isnt that what the bible says to do anyways?? i'm confused and i'm sorry you all had to listen to this. peace&godbless, erica

a big reason people may think homosexuals are "predators" and that stuff that makes it to the news is ALWAYS bad stuff...you know, the priests raping the boys, the homosexuals raping kids, the guy found with porn on his computer and that forms a stereotype. That's like people thinking all priests are bad because of the select few that made headlines.

And thinking like that is just stupid. plain and simple.

Hi. This is monica. I just got back from the hospital. I still have cancer but am fighting it. I would like to say that I just heard of what the president is trying to do (make homosexuals not be able to marry). I have to say that this DEEPLY saddens me. You see, having cancer has tought me many things about life. I feel that not letting a person to marry who they want basically takes EVERYTHING america stands for and ruins it. President Bush is HORRIBLE for doing what he is doing. I vow that if this law is passed I will NEVER have any American pride again. I can not believe that this is happening. is that it's not even me. When my brother came out, he was in high school, but I'm in middle school, and everyone at my school was talking about it. And this was before I realized I was. And still, Takeda's mom wouldn't let him sleep over because of my brother. If we were girls and I had a straight brother I doubt this would've happened. Hell, Takeda is the reason I realized I am, and because of this in itself he is no longer my friend.
