What if the story of adam and eve was not said (originally) in the bible, and was just 'borrowed'? Then would that disprove everything about "adam and adam" or "eve and eve"?

hello, isn't the page topic about homosexuality and all,what's up with Adam and eve for goodness sakes.

All of you realize this will never be resolved, right? Everyone on both sides seems to be far too stubborn to ever change their opinion. Might as well just move on.

If the story of adam and eve is true, then:

How did eve know where the forbidden tree was since she was blind?

If she was blind, how could she pick the fruit?

The devil doesn't exist till the new testament... so why then, did the serpent tempt eve with the fruit?

You see, the story just doesn't add up... So, this adams and eve vs. adams and steve thing is really a stupid debate over a story that doesn't even make sense.

ok, i do not by any means condone being homosexual, gay,lesbianor w/e u want 2 call it. But, at the same u all must realize it completely out of r hands and there is nothing we can do about it. I definetly do not agree w/ princessmonica...it may not have been meant 2 be this way but putting them in jail is going a little far dont u think? Wut about bisexuals? Wut would u do in a case like that? put them in jail 4 half the time? NO thats inhumane. My neighbors r lesbians but they don't bother anyone or try 2 hit on ppl...they keep their "business" 2 themselves, y send them 2 jail they r not criminals they just have odd and corrupt beliefs. I think that you guys are really getting yourselves into somethang b/c there's been things on the news and in papers about this and personally i think whatever people do with there lives is up to them and just b/c u can disagree isn't going to change anythang at all! Why do you care so much what people want to do with their lives? What possible bearing could it have on your life? I really don't understand why you feel the need to tell people what they can and can't do in the privacy of their relationships with other people. And did you know that a lot of things were "cut" from the bible? It's like... I don't know, a bad documentary. Where the person who was being filmed got to choose what was shown to make themselves look good. Except it was the church doing the editing. Some of the stuff left out pertains to this subject. Well PrincessMonica, you would know being a Christian that hate is a sin and we're to love our enemies and pray for them. Remember Jesus wasn't hanging out with all the people who believed in Him (well He did but that wasn't who He was after...) He tried to talk KINDLY to those that were non-believers and he KINDLY and CORDIALLY was a good friend to them. I don't think this is a gay or straight issue at all. I think this is ultimately an issue of respect. Respecting your peers and another human being. If you are so immature and ignorant as to believe that everyone in all of the world, or in all of the freaking universe be the same, then you have a lot to learn. Not everyone will agree on every issue, however part of being an all around intelligent person is to look at the other person's point of view and understand where they are coming from, but agreeing is not always necessary. To completely dismiss another person's opinion may be fine to you, however don't be surprised if they do the same to your own opinions! Whether a person is gay or straight should not matter, they are a human and should be treated with a certain amount of respect, decency, and dignity.

But I don't agree with homosexuality. It is repeated in the Bible that homosexuality is wrong (one example: Leviticus 18:22- Do not practice homosexuality; it is a detestable sin -from the New Living Testiment). I have nothing against the homosexual, the person, I do NOT dislike them or hold any malicious feelings toward them, I just think the action is unnatural and not what God intended us to do. Please, I do not wish to anger anyone, I only wished to post my opinion and my feelings on the subject.

I am so tired of all the "all gays are bad" or "all gays are wonderful" posts. Being gay does not have ANY FREAKING THING to do with your personality. I have known gay people who have been very nice, and i have known some that deserve slow painful deaths for being total jerks.
