I can't convince myself that as human beings, our capacity for goodness, or potential to change the world is encompassed in our sexual preferences. It is, perhaps the most ludicrous thing I've ever heard, to condemn someone because they have learned how to love completely devoid of any standards set by any type of authority or society. Why don't we focus more on the people who lack empathy? For it is such people who are equipped to do our world the most destruction. Why is it that we concern ourselves most religiously with those who love outside of the norm, than those who who hate with abandon? Love, and let love.

If you don't support homosexuality, then all I can tell you is to not be homosexual. We live in a world with homosexuals. They're not going away. You're going to have to live with the fact that there are woman who ::gasp:: don't want to have a relationship with a man? C'mon. What girl hasn't considered, even for a second, being a lesbian? Ok first of all if they want to be homosexual thats their decision and thats the way they want to live. So leave them be.Now second of all nobody says,"you being straight is wrong" now do they? no because they have more sense than that. if someone told you that being straight was wrong...what would you think? You would probably think What the heck is wrong with you? Because thats the way you want to live, and they leave you alone because they understand that you dont want to be criticized because of your sexual preference. Now what your doing is kind of a double standard there. And im pretty darn sure you dont like double standards. Because if you REALLY wanted to play a game of your favorite sport and someone said no because you're sweating too much or w/e and they were sweating the same im sure you'd be pretty ticked. think about it. What you're doing to homosexual people isn't exactly what you would like to happen to you IF and thats a big if you were gay. Geminiangel--great list, but you forget my all time favorite one. You can be executed if you work on the Sabbath...or hell, even pick up wood on the Sabbath. Ah yes, God seems so nice and pleasant and incredibly fair...I definitely want to convert to Christianity now. But you know, I can't because I have a tendency of picking up wood on the Sabbath. That's actually my wood-picking day. So I don't think I could convert, because then I'm be sentenced to death. But then again, if I don't convert, I'll go to hell. Hmm, what a pickle I'm in.

So everything in Leviticus applies today, regardless of the fact that the morality was tainted and harsh? Seeing how it'd be unfair to just pick and choose which verses and "morals" one should have according to Leviticus, you must follow them all, seeing how they ARE god's will, right?

Leviticus states that homosexuality is clearly against God's will and an "abomination" against him, so you must follow all of Leviticus’ doctrines if you follow this particular one. But Leviticus also states that men cannot be in the presence of menstruating women; and if one curses at their mother, they shall be put to death; and if you don't want your daughter or just need the money, you have every right to sell her into slavery; and you cannot approach the alter of god if you're blind or don't have the best eyesight, etc. Most of these “crimes” are punishable by death. Hmm.. Do you believe in and/or follow all of these regulations set by God himself, Joey? If not, you’re going to hell. If so, then you’re going to jail. Meh.

Well, Leviticus was the Old Testament; the New Testament describes how Jesus fulfilled the Old Law, so Leviticus is more historical reference than anything; don't get me wrong, the morals and regulations still apply, but the New Testament is a bit different - not as strict, in other words.

Its hatred like that that has killed far too many people simply because they are attracted to the same sex.

Gays should be sent to jail? That by far is the most immature thing i've ever heard. What crimes have they committed? Should it be illegal to love someone? My best friend is gay and i would rather die than to see him be thrown in jail for something like that.

Monica, i know you say you dont care about what others say but you really need to grow up a little. We might as well throw dogs in jail for pooping on the sidewalks cause thats gross too. I just happned across a bible quote concering homosexuality, and maybe it will shed some insight on what the Christian God thinks of homosexuality.

Leviticus 20:13 "If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them."

So...the Bible claims that homosexuals should be killed for homosexual acts. I'd have to disagree with that, as would any resonable person. It shows that the Bible is NOT infallabile. It can be wrong, and downright evil. Even if you are disgusted by homosexuality, surely its better to tolerate it then kill them?

Even if it were wrong, what do you want to do about it. Why cant you just let people live the way they want to live? They're not hurting you. Why some people are so bored with their lives that they feel they need to attack gays is beyond me. What did they ever do to you. If it turns out it is a sin, then let them sin. They are in love, why can't you let them have that happiness.

If you think it's gross, too bad. I think picking your nose is gross but i still have to watch people do it.

It doesn't really bother me because I think what they do with their lives is their decision not mine. I think they should live their lives the way they want. I'd rather people be happy with their lives instead of committing suicide because they think life isn't worth living if they aren't happy or something. Sure God did make Adam and Eve not Adam and Steve and they can't reproduce but, if they are happy being themselves then its fine with me.
