Techno is the new wave of music, sorry if you *******es can't realize it's the only true music out there. I'd like to see a rapper try to hold a note for more then a 1/64th note.

I agree completely with bldbuni13. There are hip hop artists in the industry who talk about other things than guns, violence, disrespecting women, and sex. Like Lupe Fiasco. He basically ridicules rappers in his song "Daydream". His style is unique. But to speak on what Napolean said about Retro Rap not sounding like today's; that's kinda not true but at the same time very true. It all just depends on who you're talking about. Because Slick Rick, Doug E. Fresh, and Ice-T all talked about sex in their rhymes but they didn't talk about violence. That's the difference.

Just because you (whoever you are) don't like rap music, does not mean it is bad (however, I respect your opinion).
What makes you such an expert? Maybe you just haven't heard the REAL rappers, the ones who perform in NYC's Kitchen and on underground poetry slams. Some of the popular rappers, such as Eminem, Nas, Black-Eyed Peas (they are awesome!), Floetic, etc. are decent as well. The fact I listen to rap does not discredit me in any way-I also listen to classical music, rock, alternative, etno, techno, jazz, grundge--you name it. As long as the music is good, I don't care to what genre it belongs and who else might listen to it.

rap went from being an honest good, art form to crap- much like a lot of music now. legitimate, talented artists are ignored because they don't care to sell themselves out to make a buck. not to say i only listen to people of are underground, etc cause i don't.

Yes, just ONE song. I bet all positive rap songs could fit into one paper. one one side. I love techno, cuz' you really can't say anything bad with it becaus then it ruins the music

You should hear that song It makes areally good point in life I hade to do a huge report on Rap and most of the rap people sing is very good. Rap is crap, true, but techno isn't the only good music.

In my opinion....rap is not exactly the most creative form of music in the world, but I think some rappers can send a positive message through their lyrics. I guess rappers are more lyricists than anything. Nas is someone who I would take my time out to listen to. Snoop Dogg stereotypes like crazy. Same with many of the others out there. One thing that gets me is how some rappers will rap about the "ghetto" and killing, drugs, etc...when in fact they lived in middle class neighborhoods!! I am not saying that there aren't drugs in middle class neighborhoods, but its very rare compared to the shady towns.
Also, the way some portray women as sex objects, annoy the crap out of me! Women have minds whether they like to believe that or not. Women don't have a one track mind. Not all women like to hit the sack after meeting "the pimp of their dreams!"

Techno isn't the only true music out there. Anything with a sound sequence using tones is music. What about rock, classical, or pop? Techno isn't bad either, it's just there's a whole world of music too; it's another language in itself!

I guess it is kinda annoying. because i kinda like it when i want to cus some songs i like and some songs i dont.
