How come Mexicans or other illegal aliens, maybe even documented workers, work so hard for so little?

Also, lots of workers come over not knowing basic job skills (speaking English, how to use computers, etc.) that you would need to work at even the most basic paying jobs. You may not appreciate it, but you probably have those basic skills, making you way more eligible for higher paying jobs than foreigners. In addition, labor laws such as minimum wage can't even be enforced by illegal immigrants, because they can't exactly tell the government that something bad is going on when they're not technically supposed to be in the country, now can they.

11 bucks an hour? that is a lot of money where I live. No one sees that wage here, not even some college graduates! Gosh, i should move to wherever they are...
Even still, working for so "little" is what keeps them afloat. they are proud to be in america, and it seems they are more proud of the us than americans who have lived here their whole lives. america must be "da bomb" to them or something. we should have more people like that around...

11 dollars and hour? i dont know where you live but down here the standard migrant worker goes for about 13-14 dollars an hour. and again 11 dollars an hour is 4.25 cense over minimum wage.

2) 11 dollars is way above minimum wage in most states

3) Arizona, right on the border, doesn't even have minimum wage

4) most people working for money, need it... to, ya know, like, live.

$11 an hour isn't that bad. But they'll work for crap money in bad conditions because they are convinced they'll have a better life here if they do.
