the "broke up for a day" makes me think it's not a very good relationship anyways. It doesn't sound like it's a very mature situation. "You learn about equality in the classroom but you find out about it in life" - Campus Confidential www.myspace.com/yogore

When I was 17 I was dating a 14-year old, and her parents had problems with it. We had been going out for 11 months before she decided to break up with me because she wanted to 'try something new.' It wasn't until afterwards that I found she had been cheating on me for months with my best friend. Heh.
I like these calm little moments before the storm.

Well said Helios You are only 14, you have plenty of time to worry about these things later. As Helios said, if he really loved you then he'd wait until your atleast 16. And he has nothing to worry about jail-wise as long is there is not sexual relations happening. I don't think that age really matters expecially on 4 yrs. but if he cared then he would wait. And who knows maybe his mom is actually looking out for you. Maybe she feels that your too young to know what love is and that you might be manipulated into things. How do your parents feel about the situation? You should seat down and talk to them about it as well to know what they think.

Wait until you turn 16. If he can wait that long (for you to turn legal age), then you are really in love. If he can't, its a fling.
I also don't see why this is a problem, unless there's sexual relations. I don't see why you're dating at 14. I don't see why you're dating someone that old. I don't see how, if you can't even punctuate, you can differ from true love and a fling.
But that's just me.

I think you should learn grammar and punctuation.
