Yeah, I would take bella's advice. You have to ask yourself if you are really in love or are you in love with love itself? He sounds more like a close friend. And it's okay to have close guy friends that stand up for you and make you feel safe but like I said, are you in love with he because of the kind of person he is or are you in love with the things that he does for you(ie: makes you feel safe, etc.)? These are the things that you have to ask yourself before you persue something that may or may not work out. Personally, I wouldn't date someone of the opposite sex that was very close to me and we had a history that goes way back like yours does with this guy, 'cause what if y'all break up and never speak to each other again? Your friendship with him would be down the tubes in a matter of minutes forever over something stupid.

well, he was my best friend. he is funny. he sticks up for me. he is always there for me. he cant stand to see me sad. he and I have been going to school together since kindergarten and when I thing about leaving him to go to a different high school I cry.
