i'm well proportioned and everything. & i'm pretty short. i'm just about 5 feet. but when guys, even girls, look at me - they assume i'm 17 when my real age is actually 14. i don't get it. it was flattering at first, but now it's making me feel cheap. i don't do anything to attract attention. i don't even think its the way i dress. most of the things in my closet are Gap or Old Navy. no abercrombie - not that stuff. if you're just like me, can u give me some advice on how you cope? or at least see the good part of it?

College students will try to hit on me (just the guys, sadly.... ) and they ask what my major is. The fun part is seeing the looks on their faces when I say I'm majoring in high school.

people tell me i could pass as 18 if i wanted to. im 15, turning 16 very soon. in terms of coping with it, i dont have much advice (sorry!) cause i dont really mind looking older. but i guess it's a lot different for girls.

Looking older than what you really are i can relate to you. i am 14 too. i dont go out and buy all these clothes and see what others are wearing older than me so i can seem that age. i just am who i am. but it can be irritating specially since it is my first yr. in HS. it has its advantages case if you dont look like a frshman you wont really get talked about like that you kno the fresh meat thang. but evryone when they find out that im a freshman its are you serious i thought you were a jr. or something. im like no just a freshman its been well past 2 months and people still come up to me like that. it gets annoying at times. but you know i think thats why some guys dont talk to me that are my age because they might be shy because they dont think that i am their age. so people ask why i go out w/ some older guys, its because non of the guys my age ask me out hardly unless they really kno. but it has its disadvantages and advantages. you just have to play your cards right.

I know exactly how you feel. I am 14 and six foot .I always get told i look alot older than i am . ive been guessed at 21! this is frustrating as ever . looking older is okay at sometimes but ill tell you being 6ft and freshmen its kinda hard getting a date in your grade.

For me, looking older than your age can be pretty annoying sometimes. My friends would think of me as a 25 year old guy well in fact I'm only 17... But this also has its perks... When I drive, i can go driving even if i forget to bring my lisence (I'm not suggesting you people do that)... Hehehehe

I have had many people say that i look like a grown woman which i sometimes consider flattering. Being told u look older than you're supposed to be trublesome too. Many people may approach u as an adult and it becomes very annoying and irrittaing. Many guys have come up to me trying to talk to me thinking i'm about sventeen eighteen when i'm really fourteen. it can be flattering because u feel mature and u feel like an adult when u hear that. Most of the time I like the compliments but sometimes i get really angry and upset when guys try to talk to me telling me to be their wifey its irritating believe me lol

Seems like most people think you're two years older than you are. That includes me. They tell me that me and my sister look so much a like we could be twins. She's two years older than me. Than there was this really weird time when a guy thought I was 12. But I'll just put that as a fluke.

It's seems good to look older when your younger, but it always seems that the older you get, the younger you want to look.

Looking older than you are can have its advantages. Such as getting more respect.

Last summer I was talking about highschool, and our waitress thought I was talking about being a freshman in college. I don't think I look much older than I am though.

Krispykreme, looking older doesn't mean that you're cheap. Some people simply look older than they are; there's nothing wrong with it - it has nothing to do with the way they dress. (Some do dress provocatively to make them look older, but it doesn't sound like you're one of those people). The only advice I can think of is if you wear a lot of make-up, you could lighten up on it a bit.

It depends who's talking....grownups have asked me if I'm in college when I'm really only going into highschool, but other teens don't really think I"m much older. Well maybe a year older but that's it-I'm tall for my age but, especially with my braces, my age is fairly apparent.

This has always occured with me. Many people assume that I am around 22 or 23 when infact I am a bit younger. My sister has had the opposite response from people; she is 20 and was recently asked is she was 15.

I am 18 yet people think im younger than my age... Maybe its because of the way different people grow and develop. I have obeserved that most Americans look older even if they are still younger than me and we, Filipinos, look younger than our age. I have a cousin who is there in the US, she is half American, half-Filipino but i could really tell she lloked more mature than her age which is about 10 or 11.

just think of how lame they are. be proud that you are good looking. guys do the same to me. i've been asked what college i go to when i tell them im a sophmore. some guys are just jerks. so yea. ur hott, and they only act like that because they want you. i guess just ignore them. its hard, but it works 4 me.

I have been told that i look 17 or 18 when I am only 15. It's weird tho, b/c I look older when I have my hair down but when I put my hair up (for work or gym class) I look like I'm 13. I personaly enjoy getting attention from older guys...
