i'm about 5'2" and weigh about 95 pounds.
i'm not anorexic or bullimic.
i just have a loss of my appetite from ADD (attention defasite disorder) meds.

but even though my family knows this, they still bug me about my weight. and my mom tells everyone, "oh, she NEVER eats" when she KNOWS I eat.
is this too skinny?

I admit I don't entirely know what I'm talking about here, but I took Adderall, Ritalin, and Strattera for a while at different points and had a completely different reaction on the first two than the latter. The Ritalin and Adderall made my appetite nearly non-existent, and I remember how hard it was to eat when I just wasn't hungry.

Are you too skinny? Based on your height and weight, no -- you're skinny, but not alarm bells skinny. Your weight itself probably isn't the most important factor though. Like Meg and LTR said, it's important that you continue to eat and maintain overall good health. Also: have you experienced significant weight loss since you went on the meds? Because that would be worth looking into correcting. If not, just don't stress about it, and try to live one bite at a time.

thank you, your advice is great.
sometimes i just dought it when i tell my self that i'm not too skinny, so hearing it from someone else is good.

i havent lost significant weight since i'm been taking these meds, and after this doce i've already decided to stop with it, because i can do just as well in school on my own.

thanks again

Hmm...I wonder where some of that LTR advice came from... Wink

You don't sound like a really unhealthy weight. I think I was around your weight when I was 5'2", puberty helps with weight gain...

If you're really uncomfortable about your weight, talk to your doctor. When I was on antibiotics this fall I had loss of appetite, but you just need to remember to eat regardless of whether you want to or not.

And make sure to follow LTR's advice...

I'm having the same problem (no appetite and loss of weight from meds). Just eat something small every now and then. Every 2 hours would be the best, that way you have something keeping you going.

When you do eat though make sure it is good for you. Stay away from junk food because that will only make your health worse.
