Get your friend to some counsling. Even if she would have normaly rejected the idea of that, she's probably in desperate need of advice. And call the cops on that ass! I can't believe he raped her, and then bragged about it!
I will love the false image I had of you.

a) let your brother know b) let her parents know and get her to go get tested and get treatment c) you need to let the police know. even if he's a family friends its illegal and he raped her. and that's not ok. he needs to be punished for what he's done. d) let your parents know

Don't torture yourself by thinking "what ifs." A lot of the time the "what ifs" don't happen and thinking about all of the worst case scenarios makes things worse. Please call one of the numbers provided by YN. The hotlines are confidential, and the people there know a lot more about what to do in these situations. I hope everything works out for you and your friend...and I hope you put the scumbag behind bars...

If she won't report the rape, *you* need to. I've watched enough episodes of Law and Order: SVU (I know, I know, not the most reliable. . .) to know that it should be reported *as soon* as it happens. If not then, it's just important to get it reported. If too much time elaspses, no one will be able to prove anything. If he was in jail for sexual offenses, the story should be even more believable, right? Make her go to the hospital or a free clinic to get tested for various sexually transmitted infections, too. That's imperative. Anyway, good luck and much love to you and your friends! Cheers- Green Oh, and also, next time try to lay off the alcohol. Fewer dangerous situations will present themselves that way.
