I'm not sure if I have depression, but I think I might. I don't want to tell people, like you, because I don't want it to be a big deal. If I told my mom should would a call it a pathetic excuse for my "bitchy behavior". She see's things like depression, ADD, and other things like that as excuses for the way people act, so they feel better about themselves. She thinks there's no such thing as depression being like a disease. Usually I'm really good about giving adivice, but here I'm stuck. All I can advise is just try to make tomorrow a better day, count your blessings, and each day try saying something positive about yourself.
I will love the false image I had of you.

I've helped various friends with depression, whether it sprouted from their parents' divorce, a loved one's death, or for no clear reason. I agree, it is no walk in the park. It's more like a walk through... well, you know where! I think it depends on the people you have around you. Only one of my friends seeked professional help, but the rest of them talked regularly to family members and the people that were close to them. My aunt actually had a friend who committed suicide, so it's become scary for me to think that it could happen to someone I know. I just hope that you are getting through it smoothly. You'll be in my prayers.

I'm over mine now but I'm helping a friend through it right now. "To the world you might be nothing but to somebody you're the world."
