theres this girl in my form and we werent friends or anyting and i heard that she tried to commit suicide .. no one else knew so i told my best friend on pain of death she wouldnt telll anyone...
now the girl is like my best friend...this is a couple of years later....and the old best friend doesnt like me...
the girl told me her secret... the suicide thing...and she said she has never told anyone else apart from one person...
i feel awful because i promised the girl i wouldnt tell anyone but i already told the ex best friend like a year ago...
what do i do>?

i would tell her that before hand, like before the fact that she told you not to say anything, that you had already told someone.. and then go from there, but assure her you only told one person, and it was before and let her know that you haven't told anyone else, along with the fact that the person you told won't tell anyone else.
