Is it normal to feel numb? 99% of the time I don't feel any emotions. People will ask how I'm feeling and usually I lie and give them a generalized answer. There has been alot of drama within my group of friends recently and even between my boyfriend of 13 months and I, but none of this has affected me at all. Then there's drama going on with my bestfriend and it's like it's not even phasing me at all. I feel like an ousider looking in through a window, watching myself act like a brainless robot.
Is that anything remotely normal?

actually that is called emotional flatness, it can be caused by too much or too little of certain chemicals in the brain. I suffer from extreme depression that is treated by antidepressants, a side effect of my anti depressants can be emotional flatness. You may want to talk to a doctor about it.

Thanks
I do write. Alot actually. But it doesn't help me for long. It helps me organize my thoughts and what running through my head. I never give out the letters I write to specific people. Sometimes I'll draw what I'm thinking about. But like I said it'll help for a little while but it've never permanen, then I go back to feeling emotionless.

No it's not normal...when we're born we have inate emotions or reactions to something. Like if your hungry, you cry (hen you're a bay). I know that's kind of different than what you're talking about, but in a way it's the same. Have you tried talking to any one about how you're feeling? And if you think you can't talk to anyone (e-mail me kountry_kate3@hotmail.com or lving.Ualwayz@yahoo.com (I have both of those messengers too) but also try writing out what you feel...even write to the specific people you're having problems with...but I probaby wouldn't send it...unless you revise and make it to where it won't hurt anyone's feelings...
