Do you think girls or boys can make true friends>??
I don think so, as jealousy may arise between friends of same gender...what do you think???

You all convinced me, I guess it can. Seriously, I think so but I think that guys will always be attracted to those friends. We don't have to act on it though, because we are not animals and can control our emotions. This is OK. It is not wrong to show self control.

well i have 2 true friends, one is a boy and one is a girl. but, as i am a girl, i get jealous of the girl much easier than the boy. but either way, i think you can have a same gender true friendship, and a non same gender friendship. i hope that made sense!

Did we ever figure out what the original question actually was? Is it asking if guys and girls can be friends, or if individuals of the same sex can be friends?

Personally guys and girls can be friends i ahev a few guys friend that are like my brothers i mean i may get jealous when they have gf soemtimes but its normal specially cuz they r guys and they r hot!!! lol but yea girls and guys can be friends and grow to be more then friends sometimes!!!!

Surely they can make true friendship .. I have good friends in both gender too. To maintain the true friendship really need a lot of trust and tolerance. Jealousy will be present, but it's how u handle it.

the closest friend I've ever had was a girl (of course at some point I fell for her but that's a part of any male-female relationship, I quickly got over it and we were joined at the hip till she had to move. Man we talked about everything and anything, I gotta say I miss those days. Also isn't the woman/man you marry commonly descirbed in the really good relationships as the one partner's "best friend"?

I'm not sure what the question is, either. Are you asking if it's possible for two girls or two boys to be good friends, or for a girl and a guy to be good friends? Either way, I don't see why not. I have plenty of good guy friends. And all of the girls I know have good girl friends. I don't see why there would even be a problem.
