i have this friend who keeps on saying shes fat all the time. shes like 5ft3 and 9stone. personally i dont think this is fat, but hen i tell her this she starts reeling off rubbish about the average weight. i cant reply cuz i dont know if she actually is overweight! advice pleassse!

Healthy. As long as you're healthy, you're good. All of a sudden all girls should weigh in the same? We come in all different shapes and sizes, but as long you're happy and healthy there shouldn't be a problem.

The ideal weight is 0. No one should weigh anything, and then we could float about as much as we wanted. I'm only kidding. But does anyone ever stop to consider that weight is relative? It's completely dependent on gravity. Thus, the farther you are from Earth's core, the lighter you are. I thought that was an interesting thing to add.

The ideal weight varies for each person and how they are built. What you should have your friend do is look up her BMI (if my stones to pounds conversion was correct, she's at a healthy one). By the way, about 10 years ago, the average female weight was 145 pounds for a 5'4" woman. Based on that, I think your friend is fine and definitely not overweight.
