I also have been cutting myself for a while and I know how hard it is. My parents don't know but I did tell my best friend and she has been really helpful and supportive. Every night she has me promise that I will stay cut-free for 24 hours. Taking it in small steps really helps me - it's not like I have to promise to never do it again. And just having a friend who still loves me is great. It really helps to have someone to talk to. If you have a good friend it might be worth it to talk to them.

I know what cutting can do to a person. It hurts phsicaly and emaonly. I have been cutting for 3 years now. I know it can get really hard to deal with some stuff and the first thought that comes to mine is cutting. I know you dont want your parents to find out. I know i was so scared that my parents might find out and i didnt know how they were going to react. I say if the cutting gets worse that you need to go talk to some one. I suggest a school consler. If i didnt have one at my school to talk to i wouldent be here so talk to one or a tacher you trust. ~Ashley~

I think it's good that you're posting and writing about this, but it sounds to me like in addition you should be seeking professional help, say- from a therapist. If you don't want to tell your parents to get you help maybe you could talk to your school's social worker/therapist, or they could recommend someone.

So I find that the advise YV and Ikki gave me, helps me with stress. Also, go for a long ride, hang out with your friends, suck on a mint, pet an animal. Just try different things that will make you stop cutting. Hope you feel better soon.
