I'm sure that I'm going to soud like your health teacher when I say this, but oh well... During puberty you have so many changes going on that your hormones get really mixed up. It's only normal that you are confused about this. Basically it's just a phase, and you'll figure it out in time.
It must be lovely to wake up in the morning and understand everything.

quote: well, according to my aunt (who is a big-time lesbian) if you are gay, you just know.
You don't "just know". It's not like you wake up one morning and realize you are infact homosexual, it's a process. I can say on some level I have always known, but it's not like you're born wearing a gay pride flag or that the realization comes in one second. quote: If that's the same fore straight people shouldn't it be the same for homsexuals? I mean why should it be any different? I mean I was (WAS) genuinely concerned. Well I guess that's what happens when you try to be nice.
The only reasons heterosexuals know they've always been straight is because the media and society portrays people as heterosexual. If there was no society dictating who you should like, I'mguessing everyone would go through the same process (although it wouldn't be as extreme because it'd be the norm, I imagine). I know for a fact that I'm straight. I've never had any doubts about that. Sexuality is an odd thing...

A lot of straight people experiment with the same sex, because they have bouts of doubt or confusion. I have heard about estimates that more than half of the population that identifies as "straight" has had some sort of sexual desire or fantasy with a same sex partner and have been physical to any level with a person of the same sex. The same is with homosexuals, there is a lot of confusion; there are thoughts that you might be one thing, but experiment with the opposite sex to see if it is truly satisfying or not.

I thought you were a guy at first. Duh. Your post was worded funny...or something. Maybe I'm just blind. Anyways, if you can't picture yourself being in a relationship with a guy, you're most likely lesbian. Again, I don't know for sure, but that makes the most sense.

Well, I personally had a ton of confused-horny stages in which I envisioned myself with a girl. But the attraction was merely sexual, like a fantasy. I could never see myself dating a girl. So, I consider myself to be straight. I am more attracted to guys. Although, if you've never been really attracted to guys, yet to girls you have, then maybe... You'll know someday.

Well excuse me for not knowing about homosexuals. I'm not one I was asking a question. quote: I can't explain it any better because I'm straight. I've always known I was straight. It was just there in the back of my mind that I was better suited to be with girls than with guys.

I don't know for sure, but I would assume it's just a matter of simply...knowing. I can't explain it any better because I'm straight. I've always known I was straight. It was just there in the back of my mind that I was better suited to be with girls than with guys.

You are so ignorant Pandora. Coming out to yourself or just questioning your sexuality is confusing and hard. Since you were born the media, your parents and friends have force fed you this idea that you are straight. In some cases this is clearly not true. Like other people have said, just take your time. Sexuality is very fluid. Give it time and then one day you will know. The most important thing though is to know that its ok. No matter who or what you are its ok. Just be yourself. If you have any other questions just ask or if you just need someone to talk to, you can talk to me.
