Lately, I've been dealing with a lot of stress (rape trial, school, etc). I usually am OK at handling these situations, but I have suddenly started to take up purging to deal with stress. Yes, I eat and throw it up.

Don't get me wrong, this isn't about how I feel about my body. I love it. I feel beautiful. It's just how I'm dealing with stress.

Any advice would be appreciated. I'm afraid of the damage I'll do to myself, but it isn't stopping me.

i agree with maya, that u should pick up a hobby to deal with your stress. (sing, dance, swim, write, take kick boxing). something that doesnt damage you and your body

You need to find other ways to relieve the stress. Be it writing, dancing, singing, screaming, talking to friends and boyfriend, playing sports, etc. anything but throwing up and things that will actually damage your body.

I agree with musicislife, if you feel great with your body that's another reason to stop, you should think that if you continue doing this it will end up really damaging your body, something that no one wants.

I don't really know what else to say because I've never been in the situation, but talk to people you trust about how you are feeling. Maybe being able to let it all out will also help in some way, not feeling like you're alone in this.

Everybody seems to agree that right now Mountain Dew is IT for dealing with stress( CUT ) .
Talk to somebody (Boyfriend , friends , YN Chat........)

ok. one thing you should do is to take a step back and look at yourself. you said that you love your body and you thing your beautiful. so, think about all the damage u'll do to yourself if you keep purging. plus, one thing every teenager would love is to be physically attractive. very, physically attractive. i know it sounds concited and very materialistic but, it's the truth. almost every teenager, especially girls, want to look good. well if you keep purging, you will start to shrivil up and you won't look very good to anyone. also think, you won't have as much energy to do things. if you play sports, you won't be able to do that as well or as much for that matter. then think, all the bad things that happen over time because you purged will only add more stress to your life. purging isn't going to relieve and stress. if anything, it's only going to add more. to relieve stress try listening to some music that will kind of calm you down. and it doesn't have to that soft rock or smooth jazz stuff either. when i get extremely stressed or pissed, i fire up some slipknot or something. then just sit there and let your mind wander. if your pissed at a certain person, just let yourself daydream about beating them up or something. another thing you can do while your jamming to that music is draw pictures of whatever you feel like. then, if they look real cool and you like them, hang them up. infact, hang whatever you want up in your room. i have pictures and cutouts all over my walls. and not only does it look awesome, but then you'll always be surrounded by things you like and things that make you happy whenever your in your room. neway, i hope i could help.
