A lot of people call me a depressed individual. I don't know about depressed (not that sad anymore), but I still feel all angsty now and then, and I have to get-up and write or draw or paint or bang on the-guitar-I'm-learning-to-play to feel better again (I even put-up a crappy piece of writing here on YN - please feel free to add anything that makes you feel better there, I basically just wrote down the first words that came to my head). I used to teach orphaned children, and I felt a LOT better when they told me I was the best thing that had ever happened to them. That made me smile for weeks. What do you guys do?

I listen to music. And since I like most styles of music, it's not too hard to find something to fit the mood of how I am most like at that moment. Not only do I listen, but I listen LOUD. Loud enough to block out my life/problems/parents/etc.

writing. i sometimes like to write letters to people who have upset me, although I would never give it to them. also reading. when I'm most upset, I crack open my favorite book and start to read it another time. another..sleeping! sometimes I'm too frustrated or upset to do anything at all. Sleeping gets my mind off of things and I usually feel better when I wake up.

Writing really is the best way to feel better, isn't it? That or painting. Or drumming on pillows! (It goes on and on.) Thanks to everyone for the suggestions Keep 'em coming!

Sometimes when I'm upset I open up a word document and just rant all my feelings out, whoever made me upset, I just type what I feel. Then, once I'm done, I delete what I typed, and x out, go outside a bit, chill out. No one will ever know what you wrote, so it's private, and you can say all you want.
It helps me out. :]

What I do to get happy is talk to my friends. Or let out all my feelings in a journal. Also my boyfriend makes me laugh all the time. Even before we were dating I would burst out laughing in the middle of class when he said something funny. Try finding some babysitting jobs for like 5-6 year olds. Also try out dance class or listen to happy music. Watch comedies and take pictures of nature. Thats what I do =) ( Be happy =) )
~ According to my calculations, the problem doesn't exist. ~

It really does miracles, doesn't it? It's good to know you're happy quote: I usually sketch a new picture for a new painting or write some more for a story I'm working on lately. Then, huzzah! I'm all good.
I paint a little. I actually drew this guy in my class as a doodle and I drew Kurt Cobain next to him and he just stole it and started running around. Chalk it up to programming at 3 a.m lol. I hope the story goes well, by the way!
