In my social group I've become like the local psychiatrist and the stable friend that my friends have. I'm begining to have trouble with this because no matter how much I love helping my friends, it's getting hard having their problems on my shoulder. One friend is bulimic, another anorexic, a couple a cutters, a few recovering drug addicts, and it turns into a lot to keep track of and continue my own life. I also have my own problems weighing down on this that I don't want to dump on them. I still want to help them, so does anyone have suggestions on how to deal?

Maybe you could talk to your parents although I understand if you can't. I know I used to do the same thing which drove me to the point of what I am now. Don't let it get to you mainly. If the stress gets to you then talk to someone other than your friends coming to you with problems about this. It will help. Good luck to you. Smile
