Okay, I'm the captain of my cross-country team. I have a friend on the team who like me is extremely liberal. However, she thinks that it is her responsiblity to convert all Republicans on the team to Democrats. There are two wealthy sisters on the team who are Republicans. They don't invite debate or anything, but my friend constantly tries to debate with them. She basically insults their beliefs. So is it my place to discuss the situation with my friend? Should I, as captain, tell her nicely to stop the whole politics thing? I don't want to get the coach involved, but what exactly should I do?

Blue your running a cross country team not a debate team tell her as politely as you can to stuff it till the end of the season.

I am Conservative but not like extremely conservative. I do know however that If a liberal was trying to convert me inot becoming a liberal It would make me not want to become a liberal even more. I've already decided I'm Conservative and nothing is going to change that. I don't think your friends debates are helping convert anyone to liberalism. I think you should talk to your friend about it becasue, most likeyl, it isn't heloing anything at all and its a very pointless debate and won't change anything at all.
