haha, funny. yea i'm a normal healthy teenage girl. I'm smart, i never get in any trouble, im not a slut, and i'm pretty much the only person who can b nice to everyone even if they do hate me. i would say that about sums it up so idk how anyon could not like me....someone should explain why no one likes me. there's the real problem

it's not so much giving people chances, it's just understanding that every person in this world is your equal and deserves to be treated as such.

Ur assumption is correct but ur def. and thiers is diff. For instance my mom took one look at her and thought she was emo. (she doesnt even dress tht dark lol). And they kinda control who i date sometimes my dad made me break up with a girl for being a jew!!!

My post was made based on the assumption that you are dating a normal, healthy, teenaged girl with no criminal record who isn't related to you and doesn't influence you to do stupid stuff like skip school or sneak out. In other words, I assumed that your parents have no legitimate reason to hate her.

Well, judging from your thread (controlling parents) your parents will never think anyone is good enough for you.

I don't know what she can do about their feelings, but you should make sure she knows that it definitely isn't her fault or anything she did wrong. They probably wouldn't like any girl you brought home, that's just them being overbearing and controlling. I don't think there is anything she can do.

It might help if you explain your feelings to your parents and tell them you care about her and if they don't then they should keep it to themselves. They already control so much of your life, but they can't tell you who to date(hopefully, that would be akward). Ask that they at least treat her with civility and are polite to her, and hopefully they will realize that they should just let you make your own decision in that one area of your life.

i don't get how kids can just believe what their parents do, i mean if you research your beliefs and they happen to be the same as your parents than whatever but if just follow what they do because thats what you were always told to do, well then ya just don't think.

This is an online, mostly anonymous, youth debate site, I don't think seriousness is required or even expected most of the time. Especially when very naive people post what their parents have drilled into their brain in a language that can be related only to ebonics. Seriously.

lol, i'm serious about my job, my school career, my bf and my family, but those just fall under "the usuals" categories.

when it comes to my beliefs i stand for love and peace. that's all i need to be serious about as beliefs should be ever-changing as you acquire more knowledge.

but i will always stand for love and peace. because of this i believe in equality.

i'm also serious about anime and harry potter but that's different.
