My friends parents are divorced. She caled me and said that her father tol her that her mom's new boyfriend tried to rape a girl. He was never arrested. ince my friend was too scared to I talked to my friends mom. Then they talked and my friends mom doesn't believe her. She doesn't feel safe in her own home. I don't think her dad was lying. My friend is scared that she will be raped or killed. What can I do? I am getting scared for my friend!

ohhh... ok, that's different. I would do this then, I know online there are places where you can go to find the location of registered sex offenders. Search on google to find out about him. Actually... mby just google him??? Anyway, try to find some more then just the fathers word to go on. Also, find out how the father knows.

Your friend or your friends father could be lying. A divorce is hard to deal with and there could be a lot of emotional trauma going on. I'm not saying she is lying to you out of malice, just that she is sad and lonely and may be making this up as a way to get her parents back together. Or she could be making it up to be sure that you love her. Be sure to be kind to her and show lots of emotional support.

If you are sure that neither of them are lying you should talk to your parents as xoashes suggested. If you are uncomfortable with that, talk to any adult you feel comfortable with.
