I dont know if I am posting this in the right spot but oh well. I dont think we should have to wait until we are married or over a certain age to have a child. I mean, if we TRULY know we are ready, have the care for it, have babysitting so we can go to school and know how hard it is to have a baby then shouldnt we be able to? Sometimes I wish I could just get pregnant to prove people that its not such a bad thing. But I know not to, so I continue to wait until im older. I mean, its my own opinion so I know its not right, and its not wrong either. But I thought I should just say it. (P.s, im not pregnant. Just if you flipped by the title.)
~ According to my calculations, the problem doesn't exist. ~

Im just thirteen but I have pretty strong views on this issue. One, if you are not at least out of school you probably dont have the money to pay for your childs saftey and pprotection. Also no matter what you may think most teens are not emotionally stable enough for the emotions that come along with sex, pregnancy, and motherhood. looking back on my 5 year old life I cuased my mother alot of stress that i dont think I could deal with anytime in the near future I am also not you and cant tell you what to do with your life. these are just MY veiws but if yours are different you probably have just as good of reasons as I do.

Aside from the medical risks, which have been covered I think, I still wouldn't reccommend having a kid at your age. Even if you feel like you're ready, honestly, you can't really know. I don't think most adults are really ready for what having a kid involves, but they, hopefully, have the maturity, the financial ability, and the support to get through it. Granted, a 13 year old could be mature enough but could you really support a kid finanically? With the economy like it is, you have got to have, at the barest minimum, a high school degree to get a job that pays decently. Besides, I know I personally want to live my own life before I have the huge responsability of having someone elses life in my hands (and, for the record, I love kids and have wanted to have a family since I can remember).

Physical readiness is the big problem (though I've read that teens have obstetrics issues similar to women in their 20s and 30s). If you're emotionally and financially ready to have a child, I don't see the problem.
The more you know, the less you don't know.

Becoming pregnant at a young age is never a good idea as, even if you are sure you are ready and able to have a kid, there are still risks for those under twenty. Also, if you know how hard it is to have a kid, and hear the stories from people who miss out on prime growing up conditions like prom and movies because they can't find a baby-sitter (they have lives, too, and don't grow on trees), then why would you want to even try? Or even consider trying?
