I think your dad is not a very smart guy because I see no way he could make a case in any court of law.

It's technically illegal for you two to have sex. Even if you consented, it's (in most states) statutory rape.

Perhaps your father sees a side of your boyfriend you can't see because you're in love with him. Sometimes you need an extra pair of eyes to see what you can't. Or perhaps he's just overzealously concerned for you.

Either way, just keep an open mind and remember that your family should always be very important to you. (Especially at 16 when they need to pay for shit. )

Just talk it out with your pops, remeber that in general parents only have your best intrests at heart

It would probably be to your benefit to find out why your dad is so keen on taking legal action against this guy. Is your boyfriend really too mature for you; does he negatively influence you?
Is he totally honest about his intentions with and feelings for you? If not, it seems like your dad may have some logic in wanting you to stop dating him. Do you think your dad has good reasons?
