For like a week she'll be totally out of it and messed up and I hate it. I don't know what to do. I want her to stop but it seems like nothing will stop her. I got in a car accident with her because she was messed up on sleeping pills but she wouldn't stop after that. A month after she went to the hospital because of an overdose. I'm close to my guidance counselor at school and i'd like to tell her about it but I'm afraid of the consequences. I don't want there to be police or children services involved. What should I do?
Abuse or suspected abuse is scary and knowing how – and when – to seek help can be confusing. If you or someone you know are experiencing abuse, please consider the following:
• Call 911 if you are ever in harm’s way or you feel you may want to harm yourself. • Contact your local Department of Family and Children Services for protection. • Seek assistance from a trusted adult (such as a teacher, friend’s parent, or your church pastor) or family member. • The Child Help National Hotline is available 24 hours a day / 7 days a week--and is totally anonymous. Visit http://www.childhelp.org/get_help or call 1-800-4-A-CHILD • The TeensHealth website has helpful information and resources. Resource Room

It's nice to be important but it's more important to be nice.

Ummm... Police should be involved. Next time your mom does this, call 911. This is the right thing to do. I know you care about your mom, but clearly she doesn't care about you. If she did she would be a good mom and not a drug user. Call the police.
