Some people think that Myspace is a "Disgrace", and it is just thousands of girls waiting to be mollseted or even KIDNAPPED by online predators. Others believe that Myspace is just a mindless little website that is perfect for getting in touch with all of your friends. Honestly, I believe that is isn't COMPLETELY terrible, but you shouldn't be a complete idiot and be allowed on Myspace, because who knoews, you could be a victim to the "Myspace Monster".. For instance, little 9 year old children SHOULD NOT be allowed on myspace, simply because, well, THEY'RE NINE YEAR OLDS. Well, what do you people think about it?

WELL IM ON MYSPACE BUT I DO THINK IT CAN BE DANGEROUS IF YOU LET IT BECOME THAT WAY YOU NEED TO BECOME OF WHO YOU TALK TO AND WHAT KINDS OF INFO YOU PUT ON YOUR PROFILE THERE ARE A LOT OF... WELL LETS JUST SAY CRAZY PEOPLE OUT THERE AND KIDS/TEENS/YOUNG ADULTS DONT NEED TO BE ANOTHER VICTIM OF THINGS LIKE KIDNAPPINGS

Myspace is a perfectly safe place for kids, whenn you are uploading pictures there is a specific statement that says, beware of your photos are not private other users will be able to see them, and Tom aslo advises people to not post any personal information, i have had a myspace for 2 years now, and it is a great way to make new freinds and keep in touch with old ones. Everystory that you hear of a person being molested from myspace, there is a point in the story where you say "idiots..." b/c you know they just did something extremely stupid.

I didn't know that. I'm glad. That's a good idea.

I think that private profiles shoulf be mandatory and the minumum age you know 13 or smething like that. Take the procautions like, dont add people that you dont know, and no nude pictures stuff like that. People only get molested and all that junk, because they go and meet the people that they meet over the internet that they "Trust". Dont be stupid and put all of your info on your page and then add people you dont know. On Myspace use your brain and dont do dump things. Its easy realy.

Really I've heard this story of a 56 year old man that claimed he was a dying 15 year old young man with some cancer. Well... it doesn't have anything to do myspace.. But it's a good scenario because there are creepy people online who are just waiting for some person to drift onto the tricked out blog of pwnage. but I don't think myspace is bad. They just need to take more.. precations somehow.

Eh, when I got once a couple years ago I was all ecstatic about it. Now it's just a way to keep in touch with my friends when talking via phone isn't an option. Personally, I don't see anything wrong with it. If you get one you've got to be smart about what your profile says, who you're friends with, & so on. I agree. Kids shouldn't have them, really what do they need 'em for? Heh.

Um, it's called 'put your profile on private', don't accept requests from people you don't know and don't post half naked pictures of yourself. It's easy - but i fail to understand why myspace = predators when they are EVERYWHERE.
Parents gotta set limits though, i would only allow people over 13 to go on myspace. I personally think myspace is great for finding old friends, which i have.

Myspace is only dangerous if you use it wrong. If you are responsible than bad things wont happen in myspace. Ive had a myspace for two years and I havent been molested so idk about what other people think but I know that myspace has made my life better/worse

Both. Myspace allows people to feel relaxed and "asks" them to give out info. People who use myspace are willing and able to take advantage of the relaxed state.

Myspace is not dangerous! I can see why you think that it is though with all the online predators. If there is 9 year olds online that are being unsupervised and dumb enough to give out information it is there problem and not myspace's. So is myspace dangerous or the users of myspace dangerous.

Myspace is getting a bad rap because of mindless stupidity. Oxymoron, I know, but I'll come up with something better when I'm not as tired as I am. For those of us who are mature vets, you should get my drift. Not to sound insincere, but for anyone who's ever been aducted, rapped, etc. because of Myspace deserved it. In this day in age, you've got to be careful what you do with your personal information and that even includes Myspace fuctards. Anyone who puts their personal info for everyone to see on that site and thinks nothing could potientally happen should be taken out back and shot.

Myspace is fine, all you have to do it keep all your personal stuff to yourself, or run the risk of the myspace monster getting you.

quote: It's not really the fact that "oh it's a monster myspace, argh, i'm goin to eat you, argh. It's what the kids do. If they post a picture of themselves. Tell their full names address phone number ect. Who would be that dumb but i'm sure it's probably happened before.
That doesn't happen just on myspace. It even happens on here. The number of people mods have edited personal info out for is not that low. When people grow up with something, they become comfortable with it. Younger generations are growing up with the internet, and I don't think that they are getting the "DON'T DO THIS" lectures as frequently as my generation. It may not help that their parents have had more time on-line than previous generations and are also more comfortable with it. I think, though, that a lot of it is a sense of security, whether it be false or not. I know that when I first got a facebook, I temporarily let my guard down, and others may also do that with websites that they've been using for awhile and feel comfortable using, or have had friends use frequently and safely. It also doesn't help when people want to feel loved or want a relationship and the predators know exactly what those people want because it's a basic human emotion.
