I'm sure everyone has something they believe in.

This morning I found-out that a friend of mine kissed a girl. Now it wouldn't bother me so much if it weren't for the fact that, for as long as I've known him, he's said he wouldn't kiss anyone until he was married to them. And as soon as the first oppourtunity presents itself, the guy sells-out.

And I mean, man, we all have urges, that's what makes us human. But hell, I've been put in situations where I could have done that kind of shit, and I've always said no. I honestly believe kissing before marriage is wrong*, and I plan to stick to my values. But is it just me, or is it getting harder and harder and harder to continue doing that every day? Why is it that so many people are compromising their beliefs?

</angry rant>

* It's just something I believe in. You might have a different view, but that's not the point of the thread. Just wondering what everyone else thinks.

This applies to pretty much everything by the way, from deciding to start buying from brands they'd boycotted first to saying that alcohol is evil one year and becoming a drunkard the next.

i understand where you are coming from on this but im not talking about kissing. i beieve in certain things to and yes it is getting harder to say true to them but if you have the right people in your life and you let them know where you stand and that you want to stay true to those they will and can help you.

just saying from experience.

It doesn't matter if it's kissing or not, that's not the point. It's the fact that people will just stop believing in God, for example, as soon as the hot atheist say she'd love to start a relationship with them if only they were atheists. To be a bloody hypocrite, in other words.

Now I am confused are we talking about kissing here or Kissing because I definitly believe sex before marriage is wrong because you need to time to find out everything about the person you are with before sleeping with them.Yet if we are talking about kissing...even little grade schoolers kiss...but you know i respect your beliefs!!
