My biggest problem with the death penalty is that they're executed like 10 years after thier sentence. Most of them have completely reformed their life and they aren't the same people they were when they committed the crime, people can change a lot in 10 years.

What prison doesn't require that prisoners work? And the "scum of society", it would seem to me, are those who continue to profit from immoral acts (Bush et al), not those who are currently being punished for it.
