Religion is what allows us to be individuals, but it also creates so much difficulties in our nation. But religion has created triumphs for other countries, i just think we need to get a grip on it, and learn to control it, but in all honesty don't see how we can achieve that.

Very simply I'm stating that if somebody is going to use science to criticize religion, they must use science correctly.
Most people on here know that the best word to describe me is deist. I believe in something that you could classify as "god," but I do not hold to a Christian sense of a god.
Ultimately I hold Kantian belief that in the current state of human knowledge we are not capable of answering certain metaphysical questions such as, is there god, is there a soul, or to what extent does free will exist, or let alone do metaphysics even exist.
I believe the debate over the existence of god is a pointless debate that serves ultimately no purpose because ultimately we do not have the capability to answer the question. This does NOT prove the existence of a "god"; it only proves that there is a probability for and against god. The only questions that we can answer are the one that exist in our reality, because that is the only area we can test and get a full understanding of, let alone this is the only area we know even exists.
I believe if people were capable of separating the theological world from the physical world, the world we exist in, this would solve a lot of problems. The problem here is on both sides. Creationists must accept that science is the only objective method of testing our world and right now the only area we have to test is the reality we exist in. Some Creationists will say it is a feeling that makes them believe in a creator, or a metaphysic, but feelings are not objective proof of the existence of a creator or of another reality.
I’ll finish this later I have to get to class.

quote:
It took millions of years for Earth to form

Try billions, you might want to get your facts straight before you start criticizing.

quote:
Well, for instance, the Bible talks about a 7-day creation,

Also this could be debated because due to Einstein’s theory of relativity, we discovered that time is relative.

I get what you are saying. The whole science belief. I always thought the whole mud thing sounded funny. A lot of people don't always want to believe the facts even when it is stareing right at them. So, what religion do you preference? I don't have a preference to a religion. I think that church is boring but thats just me. I am not an atheist...I do believe that there is a holy being. The whole religion barrier between people makes me so tired...and sad. When people learn.

Well, for instance, the Bible talks about a 7-day creation, which has been proven false. It took millions of years for Earth to form. The whole point is that science has answers...but nobody's listening. Thier all in thier churches blindly praying away.

Religion is the most exaggerated thing of all time. None of it can be proven correct, it can just be proven false, piece by piece, until it all finally brakes apart.
