quote: Seriously, wtf is your problem?
... quote: Sweetie, i couldnt care less about your problems.
You asked... quote: Its just as if you go to an israeli child who's mother WAS KILLED BY A TERRORIST ATTACK and say:" oh well, many more of the people you love will die, this peace thing wont work".
No, I'm being realistic. Be hopeful all you want; that's great. But the Israelis and Palestinians are going to continue to keep fighting and blowing each other up because they want the SAME land, but refuse to share it. You can hope for peace all you want, but you can't take away what's already there. quote: Mind what you say you jerk.
Why? Because you don't happen to share my views? Smart.

I just came back from working and i see a war really has been going on-RIGHT HERE!And y'all call yourselves peace lovers Get off gemini's back ok?She's not optimistic, but who gives a grenade? Y'all have to realize we can't keep cussing and dissing each other just because we think differently.WHAT DO YOU THINK CAUSED ALL THE JUNK IN ISRAEL/PALESTINE? THIS. please please stop before something bad happens. It keeps on hapening everywhere else and I've seen it too much to let it happen again. Set an example for the people we were originally discussing. Gemini, I hate only one person in this world, and that's Sheikh.

quote: Oh **** off gemini!
Grow up. quote: Who the hell are you to take her faith away??
I didn't take anyone's faith away. I simply shared my opinion. quote: Your a selfish ***** and your one of those people who drane the faith, love and happiness out of people because or your sorry *** excuse of a life.
Selfish? Not really; fairly realistic. And thank you for determining my worth. That's peachy. quote: Were you put on this earth to make people feel bad?Seriously, wtf is your problem?
You know.. maybe I was! Remind me to start giving a damn about things in the future. And you're not very decisive on what my problems really are. quote: god....no wonder theres no peace...people as stupid as you!
Having my own opinion and justifying it does not make me stupid. quote: Dont mind small minded people like her, she has no life so she needs to make yours bad too.
Get over yourself.

You hate me too? Damn, the list keeps getting longer. quote: If "reality" to you is "negativity", you should get your facts straight and learn how to be more possitive and hope for the best.
Life isn't a cut-and-dry, wonderful place full of flowers and pixies where everyone is happy and peaceful. It's sad if you deny reality.. "Reality does not care if you believe in it, or worship it, or pray to it but you can trust that it will not go away."

I want peace and im hoping it'll come soon cos unlike you, I DONT want my people to die anymore. If "reality" to you is "negativity", you should get your facts straight and learn how to be more possitive and hope for the best.

For the record, there are crazy religious freaks on BOTH sides. Remember Benjamin Netanyahu? (I have NO idea whether I spelled that right)... He was assassinated by a Jewish fundamentalist.
Anyway, part of the problem (as I see it) is that organizations like Hamas and Hezbollah, which have substantial terrorist wings, also work as relief organizations for Palestinian refugees. During the first Intafadah, as I understand it, Hamas was able to keep the hospitals running in the Gaza Strip when the Israeli government tried to shut them down. (That's just one example). Therefore, these organizations gain sympathy (and gather strength) from Palestinians who otherwise wouldn't support their militant stances, and if there were crackdowns on these groups, it would be massively unpopular amongst the Palestinian population. Of course, if they DON'T crack down on these organizations, I don't see Israel giving any concessions, and I don't think that, in that situation, the Palestinian Authority would have any right to ASK for any.
As to what the Palestinan Authority should do about this, I have no idea. Just thought I'd point it out... they're sorta damned if they do, and damned if they don't.

give it to the heir who betrayed (which is an exagerationg) his father or to the younger brother who wasn;t supposed to get it in the first place but did as daddy said. from a biblical standpoint... they're brothers, why cant they learn to live together in peace.
otherwise: the isrealis and palasteinians will hopefully someday see that they are one in the same. they both hold the land as sacred and there is plenty of room for both. the fighting continues only because of inflated egos. i think they both deserve to live there in peice, i think they can find a way to have an unbiased government and acheive this. alot of young people over there see that there needs to be peace so maybe things will change in the near future.
and Sam, I care about palesteinians... call me human, but i care about all people's wellbeing. and what did native americans ever do to you. the immagrants to america killed many more natives than visa versa.
and another thing... killing get's us no where, there are far too many iraelis to kill them all and far too many palestinians to kill them all, in the process thousands of lives would be lost from both sides. this is considered holy land... no more blood should be shed on its streets.

I don't mean to put out the flame of optimism, but peace will most likely never be achieved.

Most of those quotes that are hateful towards Arabs were said by LIKUDNIKs, most of which are not interested in peace, or by really religious Jews that truely believe Israel was promised to them. There are many Israelis, however, who don't feel this way. Using any silly quote someone says isn't an argument. I'm Israeli and I say there should be a Palestinian state, what about THAT? Besides, when Golda Meir said that, a Palestinian state truely did not exist. What exactly does that quote prove? We are not all evil. And now that all these talks are going on, maybe there is a chance for peace.

As I've said, both sides have those who use violence, both sides have those who try to bring peace.
Why would I hang out with Hasidic or any Orthodox Jews? I don't like religious conservatism, and I have to say, I really dislike yamakas.
Just a matter of taste.
