remind me again what the point is of a war with iraq? I'm a fairly politically active eprson who watched parts of the State of the Union when it wasn't too painful to see our president stumbling over simple words and generally screwing our country. I'm sorry, but refresh me on what this war would solve. foreign relations would go to pot, the country would be in chaos, and for you pro-war people, all of our war casualties who died for our freedom would have accomplished nothing. Now, I thought this was the msot advanced country in the world, not kindergarten at playtime when tommy won't give suzie her block back.War is just childish, that is simply the issue, and if we revert to that strategy, we will no longer be the country that we once were. I try not to be judgmental, but just look what has happened to our country after Bush took the helm.......

I'm 24 years old you a55hole, I just put 17 when I first signed up because 1.) I didn't realize there were any other people my age here and 2.) I didn't want to look like a loser with nothing better to do with my time than make kids look stupid, which apparently you don't mind doing.
I grew up in Dallas, TX where my father was a friend and associate of the Bush family before he died (actually a fairly significant regional politician on the Bush campaigns in '88 and '92 as well as an appointed , so please don't tell me what I should or should not know about any or all of the Bush family, you self-righteous *****.
I apologize for my deception, but do not apologize for being rude...based on your posts, I'd assume you're too ****ing stupid to really absorb many of my veiled insults, so I hope I've made it clear enough here.

Please read more into this issue. You are once again making a fool of your self. You are opinionated and young. now as for there being more thatn one sadom go ahead look up different pictures and watch videos on the man and if you look close enough you may see what many military personel already know. Oh and when you become a behavioral expert trained in behavioral sciences then you can spout off any thing you like. So please do some research before you make a fool out of yourself. Now please tell me why this war is not about greed again? Oh thats right because we stike against people with weapons of mass destruction. Right! Wrong and nothing could be farther from the truth. What about the north korea scare? Look at the former solviet union and how many weapons they cannot account for because of the desolving of that nation. If this war was in fact about the weapons of mass destruction then why is it we arent fighting other nations who have the ability to wipe ours off the map?

Well someone has been reading up on world issues. Now as for your reason for bush not owning land in alaska I am sorry but you are mistaken, he does in fact own land in alaska. I know the government supposedly owns all of it but the truth is that they own some not the whole like everyone is lead to believe. How do I know, well first of all google is a search engine not a reliable source that acctually lives in alaska and has seen the deeds and property that is mapped out for private owners. The news papers and tv stations have been trying for weeks to dig up information on this subject and you know what they wont find it because it is all off the books. It is just like a swiss bank account. I know you think you are right but please just wait and see if we do go to war then I know what will happen next and I can almost guarantee that it is not what most of you have been lead to believe. Now as for the cost effective missions for the military. What are you talking about? Whose military? I have been a soldier for over 8 years and you know what, cost is the last thing that a mission is based on. I mean our government pays $400 dollars for parts that we could go out to a store and buy for $5. Our military spends billions of dollars per year on things that we dont need in our wars or even for defence of our nation. Now please tell me why we cant assassinate sadom again? In all honesty we could but we choose not to because if we did in fact kill sadom then we would have noone to put the blame on over there other than a few select people.

The "weapons" that you mentioned are now nothing more than useless sludge today. Anthrax weapons germinate in 3 years, making them useless. Same with Botulism. The Sarin and Tabun weapons degrade in five years. The "unnacounted-for" weapons are from the 1980's. Go read up on the technical stuff about making chemical and biological weapons and the shelf life of them. You'd be surprised. This stuff about missing weapons is BS.

I'm scared.... .... I'm not scared for myself but instead for this world. I just have a very bad feeling about this war. No one could STOP it now, it's already started, that's the bad part about this. How much people talk about "NO WAR BUT PEACE", it won't make any difference, they didn't listen and they made their choice, they are going to war with Iraq and there's nothing no one can do anymore. I just hope, we see the light of day when this all ends!!!!!!!!!! I just hope that, I'm wrong about this and going to war is a good thing!!!!!!!!!!! I just hope this doesn't take the worse out of everyone!!!!!!!!! Bye N Have a nice day Signed NoName-Given~At~Birth

No time is better to fight than now. Almost 3/4 of NATO has commited to following us into war. The real world knows the facts about Iraq, unlikley college and unemployed hippies who write for an independant journal.

First of all to imply that Saddam Hussein is multiple people is just delusional. I'll leave it at that.
But to suggest that the president is going to war in the hopes that OPEC will jack up oil prices making drilling in Alaska more reasonable is the dumbest and most unfounded assertion I've ever heard of! Most people upset about going to war for greed say that it is the greed of a luxury-driven American public who is dependant on foreign oil, not the greed of the US energy industry. You're way backwards and way wrong.
BUSHSUPPORTER: I think it's clear (and has been clear for sometime and promises to get clearer next week) that the time for war has come...I just hope he doesn't screw it up like his father did.

I'll respond to the digression. Bush doesn't own land in ANWR. The federal government does. If t was his he could do whatever he wanted to with it. Since it is the Federal Government's land, congress has to agree to opening it up to private oil drills. You don't have any idea what he owns and what he doesn't. All of his assets are in a blind trust meaning neither he nor anyone else can see it. He could be bankrupt for all anyone knows. Don't believe everything that comes up on a google search on "Bush's Assets". The real (non-spun) reason that he wants to open ANWR for drilling is because he knows that our dependance on middle eastern oil is dangerous and can lead to blackmail. He understands that we should harvest ours and save it before that day comes.
Don't be so ignorant as to think that we don't know where Saddam is, which he is and which he isn't. The reason we don't kill him with the CIA is 1)because it is against the Geneva Convention to assasinate a head of state in a time other than war. 2) The democrats have significantly lowerd the budget for the CIA and made it so operations such as that wouldn't be cost effective. They have usurped power and given it to the FBI and turned in CIA contact in the region to governments in that region. Even if we wanted to assasinate him, we couldn't.
I didn't catch you opinion on the war though or what you thought of the evidence that President Bush laid out lastnight.

I know where you are coming from and I also agree that war is inevitable but there are more than men fighting men here. This war is not about the chemical agents that the president wants people to be afraid of, its about greed. I know you might not think so but what about the alaskan oil drilling? Why do you think the president wants to dig for oil in alaska? Oh lets see because if he did then he would be the one who would benefit from the land he owns up there. Even if we did go to war and then have the oil productions cut then you know what I bet the alaskan oil would start flowing freely, and the president would just keep getting richer. Go ahead look it up and you might just be suprised by what you find. Also why would the american government let a man who possessed all of those chemical weapons and is crazy as hell run around free? They would not if he really was a threat to our nation. We have special opps and all other means for stealth missions but for some reason we cant kill the man off? The reason for that is Sadom is not just one man but he has several look alikes and we have so far confirmed 4 that have been killed by other nations. If you dont think so dig a little and you will be suprised to find that Sadoms voice and the way he acts is never the same. Look at the photos of him in 1991 and then present day and you should be able to tell a difference. Most people have routines and set behaviors but Sadom seems to be able to change his at will. Which could only happen if he was in fact more than one person.
