FWIW I'm definitely a Coca-Cola guy.

Taste-wise I'm a Sprite-lover. So that's points for coke right there... and I've tested and re-tests this experiment over and over and since coke makes me burp more, and more louder.... I am forever a coke-lover. But if I had to go by taste alone, I'd decline and pick neither because generic cola is in my opinion equally tastey as both of them.

I have always been of the opinion that Pepsi is a liberal drink, and Coke is a conservative drink.

In terms of advertising, Pepsi tends to be more liberal and Coke more conservative. The santa at christmas and the all to familiar christmas scene on the coke bottle are pretty conservative pictures. Britney Spears on the pepsi bottle is pretty liberal...she offers a "new age" feel for a "new age" Pepsi.

Pepsi's color is Blue (Democrat) and Coke's is Red (Republican).

Pepsi is headquartered in Purchase, NY, which is not necessarily a left slanting town, but SUNY Purchase (college) is located there and home to many far left leaners. Coke is headquartered in Atlanta, arguably one of the most conservative cities in America.

Well, although i personally like Dr. Pepper the most, my preference is with Pepsi. However, i feel that it is important to respect each's unique taste. For those who havn't thought it out...

Coke's taste is more crisp, and is the type of pop (as we call it in michigan, eh?) that you drink at dinner, or late at night.
Pepsi's taste is more refreshing, and is the type of pop that you drink in school, or while 'on the run'
