I can't ever make up my mind, so I just say independent. Although all the quizzes I take say Centralist...which still doesn't tell anyone a whole lot. If I had to pick, I'd say libertarian...but it's a stretch for me. I'm a little to conservative in some areas. *sighs*

My own political views are pretty much in a category by themselves, so I can agree with various political parties at times on an issue. I'm affiliated with the Republicans though, since we live in a society where one of two partisan parties (increasingly just one party, the Democrats are losing support) and outside of maybe a local level a third party seems doomed to failure. You need to become part of the system, then change it from within.

Independent is technically not a party. A candidate my say that he/she is "an Independent," meaning that he/she has no party affiliation, but there is no Independent party.
