I am 16 and praying that somehow i can raise enough money to be able to attend my church's mission trip to Costa Rica. We are going there to spread God's word and love to the poverty areas in Costa Rica. We will be joining local Missionaries there and actually staying with a family of full-time missoniaries. That's if I get to go. I'm just praying that God will help me find the means and asking for some extra prayer and even some ideas of ways to raise about $700. Ideas? uhh..do what i'm doing (i need about 1200 to go to austria with my band) SAVE EVERY PENNY YOU GET. Pick up change that you find in the house and in odd places....it really does add up. Try holding a bake sale or something with a group of friends. it always works in our town! I hope you make it! Good luck

Well, I wouldn't rely on prayer. It's a nice idea, but since when does God answer the prayers of people who are legally able to get a job by giving them money?

If I had a dollar for every ignorant christian I've met... I'd, Well... I'd have a whole lot of money. Heck, I could retire, put my money in the bank. I'd have so much money that kids could live of the interest their entire lives.

Don't get me started.

why don't you ask the church to lend you some of the millions they have raked in from others "FAITH".

The pringles thing was good. Also, car washes are okay, but a church spaghetti dinner always raises alot of money. Try $5 a plate.

But my 'rents said to wait. But b4 they locked me in this city for 2 months (hardeharharhar) I got this idea from a friend:
Buy lots and lots of Pringles, one container for each family in your church-or if that's too many-everyone involved in missions or youth group or something- and ask them to eat the pringles and fill the empty container wilth lose change or spare cash and when it's full bring it over to your house to take what you need.
30 families can raise and estimated 1 1/2 thousand dollars that way, if my source was correct.

Fundraising, maybe?

I had a friend who was raising money for her Christian youth group to go to Jamaica, and she got sponsors. Maybe you could do the same.

If not, you could always get a job
