Why do people try to date off the internet? Most of the people that do meet someone that is a sexual offender, Pedophile, or just a plain nutjob. They talk online for a while; Then they meet. They don't really know the person so why do they do that. Ok I admit not everyone is bad but most are. Like adults trying to get kids to meet them and then the adult(s) do horrific things to them. So why do people do this? Do the smart thing and just make freinds online. I'm not telling you or talking from experiance I'm just asking you consider what I'm saying thank you. Guitarplayer124  |

I have a friend that meet this guy off the internet and the talk for about 6 six months and then got married.
They were married for only like 6 months and now they are no longer talking to each other not even as friends.
And that was about 1 year ago.
I don't think anyone should internet date.
I think that some people do it just to see if anyone would and how many people will actually respond and some I believe do it for just fun too.

I think internet dating is kinda bad.....you never who is on the other end of the computer. Sure some people say that you are more yourself online but is that really the case.

dont mind talkin to someone but theres no way im gonna date them. its too easy for ppl to lie on the net, plus they've gotta be pretty hopeless if they're lookin for a date

I can understand maybe chatting with people online every once in a while, but anything more than that as in dating, or meeting them or anything like that is just plain stupid and very dangerous.... for all you know that person could be some pyscho killer... I mean if your that desperate to get a boyfriend or girlfriend than have a friend set you up with someone that they know really well....

Not all people on the internet are bad. I met my boyfriend from the net. We talked for a year or so, had some phone conversations. We met and we've been together a year today. And I've lived with him for 6 months. If you go out and meet someone and get raped/killed/beaten it's your own stupidity if you didn't do some research on the person before you met him/her. That's what the net is for. And it's smart to bring a friend...otherwise your just asking for trouble.
