It should be legal for Gays and Lesbians to marry. I know the Bible and such say that it is wrong for people to be Gay, but what about seperation of Church and state? Any church that doesn't agree does not have to go along.

well first of all i was raised that being gay is okay. i believe that if you are gay you didnt just become gay one day you were born gay/lesbian.
i think all people should be equal, gay or not. you should be able to marry, date, walk in public and hold hands with out people staring at you, even have a make out session in public if thats what you want to do. gays are normal people too, they are just as funny, loving, and outgoing as streight people. if you dont want to look at them you dont have to, turn your head the other way. but any ways onto the subject...THEY SHOULD BE ABLE TO MARRY WITH OUT ANY DIFFICULTIES!!!

If you want traditional marriage, then demand that your parents find a spouse for you at an early age, and make sure there's a big dowry involved. If male, feel free to get a couple more wives along the way. If female, feel free to give concubines to your husband to sleep with so that you can claim more children as your own, to compete with all his other wives.

Also, if you want to get biblical and you're desperate, rape a woman, get caught doing it, pay a fine, and marry her.

i think that gays should be aloud to get married. its an out reage that they can just because they are of the same sex. they diserv the same rights as us!! who agrees with me?

The Bible was not written by GOD it was written by MEN who claim GOD told them to write it. Furthermore the bible has been written and rewritten in so many different languages that who knows what the true bible use to say..........The Bible says many things are wrong that many people do now. By the way, what the Bible says does not matter. Why should we make laws according to the Christian Bible? Why not the Koran? Or other Bible's? The Bible cannot be proven to be correct or authentic. What does the Bible say? It dosn't matter.

For the most part, gays are not looking to be married. They just want the legal rights of being married. I see no harm in that. Anyway, all genetic scientific evidence shows that gays are born gay.

I disagree. I don't believe that homosexuality is right anyway. But why do gay people feel the need to have marriages? Marriage is the process of bringing a MAN and a WOMEN together into one. I have nothing against homosexuals, I don't, I just don't agree with homosexuality.

The Bible has many scriptures against homosexuality. Romans 1:24- God gave them over in the sinful desires of THEIR hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. V.27: Men commited indecent acts with other men and recieved in themselves the due penalty for their perversion.

There are many more scriptures... God does NOT agree with homosexuality.

You are totally right. It is just something you are born with. There are even stories about religous Catholics, taught througout their lives that it is wrong to be gay, discovering that they are. I mean, how could that be a matter of choice?

the bible does not say ANYWHERE that it is wrong to be gay or lesbian. its not like people choose to be that way, otherwise i dont think ANYONE would be that way. i mean, there is problems with school, the jokes, ect. ect. it cant be fun. in the bible, it states that sexual activity with the same sex (gay sex) is wrong, so therefore gay marriages are wrong according to the bible, but being gay isnt. its not really "their choice". they are the way they are. you don't wake up one day and go, "OMG, I LOOOOOOOVE LIMA BEANS!" good grief, NO ONE loves lima beans, but thats not the point, people dont choose it, its just a feeling, like when u like someone...i think? is ther anyone that can back this?

I agree, same sex marriages should be legal. Not everyone's a christian and follows the Bible. Besides, having a law that says that people can't get married because they're of the same gender doesn't mean that all of a sudden they're going to change their sexual preferences. Might as well let them marry and have the same benefits as everyone else, including federal tax write-offs.
