I read an article the just now about the belief in south Africa that if an AIDs infected male has sex with a virgin, he will be cured. It is also believed that the younger the age of the virgin, the more potent the results are for the male. A poll was conducted that said that 1 in every 5 males believed in the myth. Living in the states, that just enraged me. There were reports of 9-month-old babies being raped by 6 men in the same day because they thought that this would cleanse them of the deadly disease. There are other reports ofa 7-month-old infant left for dead after being raped by an infected male. This enraged the south african community also and i want to ask all of you to help out the cause. please send the following email to every1 you know. I really want to be able to help these kids. If i knew i was a dying man, i would not value a newborn baby's life over my own. That baby still has a chance to live a healthy, beautiful life. maybe they'll even be the one that finds the cure for aids. But you'll never know because you ruined their life or maybe even killed them. i think it's rediculous. no matter what, raping babies is wrong. i can't believe i actually have to inform you of that. the ignorant people in this world...o yes, brainy people think like that

I agree with you 100%. I think it is ridiculous that these grown men believe this myth. It is also dispeicable that they would rape a BABY just to get rid of their disease. They are just in turn spreading disease even more, but most of these babies don't survive anyways and they are killing of the population. I will in fact send that article to everyone I know, because this must be stopped.
