No Fire Department, eh? So...friendly neighbors with buckets? Private Fire Departments that people will have you pay even more for? Cut 99% of government agencies?

What other factors are there to add in to it? One recieves services, one pays for services. Are you saying that if I make more money then you i should have to pay more for the services I recieve?

Although I do think all taxes are wrong you do need some. With just tariff taxes and excise taxes there would be plenty of money to pay for a military to defend us and and police to keep us safe. I don't want a completely "pure" market, just very close to it. About 99% of the rest of Gov. programs and agencies could then be cut. Yes the fire department too.

Hardly the case, the simple fact is flat income tax is not fair when you add the other factors into it. The rich are not the ones getting screwed; it is the middle-class and it has been that way for awhile. Taxes are good when they are applied properly. Mixed economic systems have always out performed "pure" markets.
