Yes, but he proceeded to learn from that mistake and eventually recover politically. Also, he lost largely due to his image as an outsider, not just because he lacked qualifications.

And this is a bad thing?

That’s largely because the oil that was available wasn’t that high in amount, and the market was saturated. Come on; ever hear about Supply and demand people?
“Company went bankrupt shortly after I sold all my stock.”
I don’t like what you’re implying here.
“I bought the Texas Rangers baseball team in a sweetheart deal that took land using taxpayer money. Biggest move: Traded Sammy Sosa to the Chicago White Sox.”
Explain how this is true? And even if it is, I’ve heard of much worse abuses of tax payer money.
“With my father's help (and his name) was elected Governor of Texas.”
He won the election there fair and square, and largely because Ann Richards was too working outside of the state (presumably getting hefty soft money contributions) to actually campaign around Texas as much as Bush did.

I changed pollution laws for power and oil companies and made Texas the most polluted state in the Union. I replaced Los Angeles with Houston as the most smog ridden city in America.”
Where did you get those statistics? Yes he did relax standards in Texas, but I doubt that it was that dramatic of an increase. Plus, you forget that Mexico produced its own fair share of smog and illegal immigrants, which made its way up to Texas.
“I cut taxes and bankrupted the Texas government to the tune of billions in borrowed money.”
You forget that under him the Texan economy experienced an economic boom, and it was only later on that it experienced fiscal problems. Anyway, the deficit is being paid off there.
“I set record for most executions by any Governor in American history.”
More than sixty percent of Texans say they support the Death Penalty. How is this any surprise, especially given his right-wing background? Do you realize that under him crime decreased considerably as well in many areas?
“I became president after losing the popular vote by over 500,000 votes, with the help of my fathers appointments to the Supreme Court.”
First of all, it’s the electoral vote that determines who becomes president, not the Popular Vote. Secondly, the courts in this country have experienced a recent surge in Liberal Judicial Activism over the years, so why is it so bad that they throw the right in this country a bone (especially after he technically won the election)?

I attacked two countries.”
Afghanistan funded and housed terrorists that attacked us. Iraq had a heinous record on civil and political rights, a history of pursuing war, and was suspected of storing and even developing WMDS by most of the world’s intelligence agencies (including the French and Germans). Given that the former supported terrorists who attacked us and the latter had a habit of attacking not just its own innocent citizens but other countries (and Palestinian Suicide Bombers reportedly), how was going to war that outrageous?
“I spent the surplus and bankrupted the treasury. I shattered record for biggest annual deficit in history.”
With the need for increases in spending for the military, intelligence agencies, and the general inability of both parties to cut waste, how can you blame Bush entirely for the deficit? Yes he has to take some of the blame, but he’s not the only culprit.
“I set economic record for most private bankruptcies filed in any 12 month period. I set all-time record for biggest drop in the history of the stock market.”
The economy started to go down hill towards the end of Clinton’s second term. Furthermore, it was under Clinton (who had shady financial dealings and issued numerous questionable if not outrageous pardons for his “friends”) that a lot of the corruption we see on Capitol Hill and Wall Street occurred.
“I am the first president in decades to execute a federal prisoner.”
Again, what is so bad about this?
“I am the first president in US history to enter office with a criminal record.”
Given half of the things our politicians do in and out of office, it’s foolish to go around hammering just Bush. If he didn’t get into office with a criminal record, chances are some other politician would.
”In the first year in office I set the all-time record for most days on vacation by any president in US history.”
Who can blame him, after the circus that was the 2000 election? Most Americans are way too overworked and sick as it is. It’s not like there were any immediate, pressing matters in that month anyway.
“After taking the entire month of August off for vacation, I presided over the worst security failure in US history.”
Our intelligence agencies have been going down hill ever since the seventies. Under Clinton, they were severely weakened and became increasingly beaurcratic.
”I set the record for most campaign fundraising trips than any other
president in US history.”
That’s just a reflection of politics right now. Other candidates also spend obscene amounts of money. Again, why are you attacking just him and not all the other clowns we have right now in Washington?
”In my first two years in office over 2 million Americans lost their jobs.”
Like that’s his fault. He just had the poor luck to come into office with a tanking economy. The same thing happened to Hoover, JFK, and Carter when they came into office.

Ever hear of welfare reform? Chances are that another Centrist or Conservative person would have done the same thing.

Yet again, how is this bad? The democrats have been producing presidents who do the same thing for years.

That would have happened no matter who was president.

What corruption are you referring to?
“I presided over the highest gasoline prices in US history and refused to use the national reserves as past presidents have.”
He didn’t want to waste the oil reserves on something as temporary as a hike in oil prices. Those reserves are for real emergency shortages. Anyway, what about the increase in Gas prices that occurred in the 1970’s? That was far worse by comparison.
”I cut healthcare benefits for war veterans.”
That’s just horrible.
”I set the all-time record for most people worldwide to simultaneously take to the streets to protest me (15 million people), shattering the record for protest against any person in the history of mankind.”
Yes, but were those protests justified? All he did was decide to go to war against a repressive enemy who was suspected of having WMDS and who had a history of antagonizing other countries in his region every few years. Clinton bombed Iraq in 1998 and did far more damage (With no strategic benefits), but I didn’t see people protesting him. Come to think of it, for every failed war, disastrous bombing (ex: the infamous Aspirin factory incident), or pointless deployment that Clinton conned us into as a “Humanitarian mission” I didn’t see people rise to the street to protest.
”I dissolved more international treaties than any president in US history.”
Many of those said treaties were outdated (ex: the ABM treaty) or unenforceable (ex: Kyoto).
“Members of my cabinet are the richest of any administration in US history.(The 'poorest' multimillionaire, Condoleeza Rice has a Chevron oil tanker named after her).”
Most of the politicians we have right now are the richest in history, including the supposedly Democrats (who harp on hypocritically about “Tax cuts for the rich” or “voucher supporting elitists”, while making huge amounts of money and sending their kids off to top-rate private schools which no one else can afford.).
”I am the first president in US history to order a US attack and military occupation of a sovereign nation, and I did so against the will of the United Nations and the world community.”
That same sovereign nation was a ruthless, third-world dictatorship with a record of weapons development, war, genocide and general disregard for basic human freedoms. The same UN also appointed Libya to the Human Rights Community thus making its credibility questionable. And the same World Community has had its own share of unilateralist, self-serving, evil or just plain stupid foreign policies.
“I created the largest government department bureaucracy in the history of the United States.”
Our incompetent weak-kneed politicians, special interests, and ideologues helped create it. The entire idea of Homeland Security was a bi-partisan idea that the Bush Administration had rejected earlier, for instance.

I’m not going to repeat myself.
“I am the first president in US history to have the United Nations remove the US from the human rights commission. I am the first president in US history to have the United Nations remove the US from the elections monitoring board.”
The same UN I might add which did not enforce its own resolutions, had previously launched numerous blatantly anti-American and anti-Israeli resolutions (among them the famous “Zionism is racism”), and appointed Libya, Cuba and China to human rights positions. Sorry, but given the UN’s sorry state why should anyone give a damn what they say about the US?
”I removed more checks and balances, and have the least amount of
congressional oversight than any presidential administration in US history.”
To be blunt, Congress doesn’t oversee anything properly anymore. Why should he put a bunch of endless proposals before congress, if he can get them passed quickly and effectively himself?

They did a good enough job of that all by themselves.
“I withdrew from the World Court of Law.”
Because said court of law was corrupt, biased and increasingly irrelevant.

That depends on your interpretation of the Geneva conventions. Might I add that the prisoners of war are almost all terrorists, who still receive considerably better rations, housings and accommodation for their religious beliefs than many citizens do world wide?

Those inspectors didn’t need to be here. They were put here purposely to humiliate and bully his government. They have a lot of nerve doing that when we pay for most of their budget. This is so typical of the rest of the world, pushing the US around then expecting help or compliance from us.

The same company which Clinton and numerous other politicians had connections to. But go ahead, distort history.

Israeli-Palestine relations in at least 30 years.”
So we should hold their hands and engage in pointless peace talks which ultimately end in either more of a burden on Israel or more fundamentalist lunatics? I don’t think so.

Even though the US is generally peaceful, and countries such as North Korea, China, Iran and others have continually pursued Weapon development, systematic murder and deliberate intimidation of the west. But no, I guess it’s the evil US that’s to blame for everything in the world. If some Europeans are too delusional or stupid to understand what countries are truly dangerous to the world, then that’s their problem.

What, because he actually says no to North Korea’s ridiculous demands, threats and insane boasts? South Korea needs to get a clue. We were the ones who helped built up their economy, supported them militarily, and were their ally for years. If they can’t support us in our drive to get rid of their oppressive, Stalinist nuke crazed neighbor then they can go to hell for all I care.

That’s not his job, that’s the military and intelligence agencies job. And though they haven’t caught Bin Laden or the Anthrax killer, they are coming closer to finding both of them each and every day.

This mock resume was made before we detained several major terrorists, including one of the masterminds behind the 9-11 attacks/

Probably because he’s got enough problems as it is without an investigation making things worse for his administration and the government.

Oh really? What about Woodrow Wilson, who imprisoned anti-war demonstrators and encouraged citizens to spy on each other? How about Lincoln, who declared Martial Law and suspended habeas corpus? And what of Clinton, who signed many draconian anti-Gun and anti-Terrorist laws?
“In a little over two years I created the most divided country in decades, possibly the most divided the US has ever been since the civil war.”
People in this country are more patriotic, more pro-war and more anti-terrorist than ever before. We are in fact more united than we have been in decades, certainly more so than we were during the Sixties and Seventies. That’s just blatantly false.
”I entered office with the strongest economy in US history and in less than two years turned every single economic category heading straight down.”
I’m not sure if you noticed, but the economy was going down hill when Clinton left office (while it had been actually recovering when Clinton came into office). The economy right now is currently recovering in many areas, it’s unemployment that’s our biggest concern right now, and that’s just a lagging indicator.

Yes, and Clinton experimented with Pot and committed adultery. Even though both of those things were wrong and punishable offenses, quite honestly how are they relevant to their leadership abilities and political careers? It’s not like he murdered or raped anyone.

He got an excused absence for that by pulling a few strings. Also, he cut in line to join the army.

Mainly because it’s no one’s damn business what he did or didn’t do in school. Is that hypocritical to have a drug history and take a pro-war on drugs stance? Yes of course it is, but what do you expect from someone from his generation? I’m not trying to generalize or anything, but don’t you think it’s naïve to think that a baby boomer president never tried drugs or was exposed to drug use at some point?

Any records or minutes from meetings I (or my VP) attended regarding public energy policy are sealed in secrecy and unavailable for public review.”
That’s because he was tried in court earlier in his career and acquitted. So they sealed away all evidence as is standard procedure.
