He doesn't deserve credit for jack sh*t, cause that's exactly what he did, jack sh*t. If he really wants to be a "hero" and have a real victory, let's allow saddam and him to fight in a duel, confidentially, i would hope that saddam would win. I hate bush so much. He will be the end of america, so I should probably beat the rush and move to europe right now so i can laugh when america comes crashing down all around you.

Herein you'll see the hypocrisy that defines liberalism and the anti-war crowd.

They *****ed and moaned about this being "Bush's War", but now that something productive has come from it, they are quick to dismiss Bush for deserving credit for it. They claim that Bush lied to justify the war, not that he received bad intelligence.

But now they've done a U-turn. Now that we got Saddam, they've suddenly done an about-face: Now they are crediting U.S. intelligence, advisors, luck, etc. rather than the president who stood up to Hussein in the first place.

Look, socialists, get your story staight: If this was Bush's War, then Bush deserves full - FULL - credit. If you're going to blame Bush when things don't go well, he deserves credit when they do go well. And if this is "Bush's Vietnam", then this is "Bush's V-Day".

(Well, not quite V-day since we're not out of the woods yet, but you get the point)

quote:
it really annoys me how people give the president credit for something he didn't do; i'm sorry, but that just really annoys me, he didn't capture saddam, so why is it his victory? If anything, the armed forces and intelligence community deserve all the credit, not him, he just sits behind a desk, twiddles his thumbs, and drools on his shirt.

It was pretty funny when they were talking Saddam Hussein being captured on the radio. They said 'He was caught in his hometown of (something or other) looking very scruffy with a long white beard.

Long white beard? Oh my God! That's not Saddam, that's SANTA! It must be, it's an easy mistake to make. They saw him carrying suspicious parcels, that may or may not contain WMDs- and he was planning to put them in the houses of unsuspecting children! Is there no limits to his evil?

Anyone support my theory? Big Grin

Inky.

I'm not an arab. I'm not interested in becoming an arab. I don't know any arabs. I'm not interesting in knowing any arabs. I do not understand arab culture. I think anyone who does understand arab culture either is an arab or is only telling themself that they understand when they really don't. If you understood why they do the things they do then there had to have been some supernatural occurance allowing you to view the world as it is instead of how you see it. Which now that I think of it... would be a pretty darn nifty super power(as long as everyone knew you had it).

I've been pro-death penalty, so I see no hypocrisy in my position.

Still, you can't just let filth like that mooch off taxpayer money and still be able to eat, drink, etc.

Hence, I would have put a bullet in his head.

"""""be worshiped like a god"""""

Only by people that already do. It's not like killing him will change people's minds about what he was all about. Only people that already think he's great will continue to do so. The only loss in killing him is the kind of hypocrisy people create when they say they don't believe in the death penalty but make exceptions. If someone believes in an after life existence with an all-knowing creator and also believes that the threat of Mr. Hussein has been obliterated... then all that is left is hatred. Is that what YOUR god is all about?

And he would then become a martyr, and be worshiped like a god...

NOT A GOOD IDEA

After the video footage was taken, I would have put a bullet in his head right then and there.

No questions asked.

Nothing.

I would have executed him on the spot.

Yay, we captured saddam hussein, that's good, but when you look at the overall picture, does it really matter? It's great that the iraqi people will be able to put him on trial, but, i don't think it will solve the instablity, but it's still good news.

Shroder and Chirac have just sent congratulatory letters to Bush and his administration. Better late than never, weasels.
