You fool! Communism gets its "bad rap" because the People are FORCED into it!
They have no RIGHTS. They have no LIBERTY. They have no FREEDOMS.
Of course the leaders of a Communist government are evil - Communism IS evil; it goes against ANYTHING and EVERYTHING having to do with the individual.
YOU are responsible for your OWN destination; whether that's spiritual or physical, YOU are independent.
When all 10 planks of the Communist Manifesto are alive and well in this country, SOMETHING is wrong; Teddy, if you were born in America, you are an American - plain and simple.
You can be Chinese and be Communist -- Communism is just an economic/political system - it doesn't determine your place of origin.

I'm a person with my own little beliefs and I don't want to be put into a group that has been destroyed and threw out as a negative by people.

Communism - A theoretical economic system characterized by the collective ownership of property and by the organization of labor for the common advantage of all members. 2. Communism a. A system of government in which the state plans and controls the economy and a single, often authoritarian party holds power, claiming to make progress toward a higher social order in which all goods are equally shared by the people. b. The Marxist-Leninist version of Communist doctrine that advocates the overthrow of capitalism by the revolution of the proletariat.
Um, is this really being Anti-American. Um, is it really being Anti-freedom? Anti-American, what does that exactly mean?
Oh, I rather be named after nothing. I'm not American, I'm not an communist, I'm not a socialist. I'm nothing at all and that's where I stand.

What's wrong with being called a Communist?
Do you KNOW what a Communist is? Do you KNOW how a Communist lives? Are you 100 percent sure you have any idea whatsoever what Communism means?
Let me tell you this: anybody who comes to America (or who lives here) and tells people they're Communist (i.e., many Hollywood celebrities, Republicans/Democrats) then that's when you should be very wary.
Communism is the polar, exact, whatever you want to call it, opposite of what America is, and what it stands for. The other countries of this world, MINUS the United States, are all under a quasi-socialistic/communistic form of government. No other country possesses the wealth, strength and standard of living as the USA.
So to say, "Well, Hi, I'm a communist..."
That's begging for a fight. Don't try to indoctrinate YOUR anti-American, anti-freedom beliefs in this country. We already have a capital full of Commies trying to do just that (it's worked with many socialist programs, laws, etc.)...

A decent article, aside from some flaws in his information. Also, he left out some of the biases of the founding fathers. He also failed to factor in the education of man in regards to the founding fathers. How, for example, the electoral college was desigened to prevent people from electing the President because the few voters were not well educated.

What two sides did it give? I didn't see a single word in there defending "democracy." All I got out of it was a petty semantics argument about the difference between a "democracy" and a "republic."

Gemini, how was any of that biased? It gave both sides to the argument;
However, I don't know anything about bias, since I'm a newspaper reporter and all.
...Give me a break.

That's too biased. I wouldn't show that to -my- government teacher. He might call me a communist
