Anyone live near the fire here in California? Or is anyone here being affected by the fire? I live pretty far from the fire, but yet a lot of ashes are blowing this way. All types of physical educations classes are being canceled due to this, and people are already begining to feel sick. I am already getting headaches from all the ashes that I've breathed in. Anyone else dealing with any problems due to the fire?

Yeah, the situation is pretty bad. I live about 1-2 hours away from where the fires are occurring, but yet in my school we're barely even allowed to go outside.

As for the guy who set the fire, I heard on the news that a guy that fit his description was hitchhiking to where the fires were the biggest and telling people that he was a firefighter but had gotten separated. This guy sure seems to have a sick sort of humor.

I personally don't have any family members or friends that are being directly affected by the fire, but most of my neighbors due are directly affecting friends of whom. My next-door neighbors niece is currently staying with him because her neighborhood was evacuated, and as far as I know most home where she lived where burned down by the fire.

You know what pisses me off is that two people (as they know of) would do this, this is like, the worst thing ever to happen to CA.

I found out today that my friend that lives in Los Angeles is evacuated and I have no idea were she is. And my Dad is in Los Angeles and he was evacuated and I don't know were he is either and he can't come home. My cousins are evacuated from there college dorms in San Diego. So, I don't know. My house my Dad just bought is gone, so we can't move in... This is scary... Best wishes to all & Good Luck,

My friend is currently in East San Diego right now, where the Cedar Fire is hitting pretty hard, and he's ready to evacuate. But Hartsfield Intl airport here in Georgia has cancelled all or most of its flights going to and from Southern California.

I've been watching the news as much as possible, and I still can't believe that there are over ten huge fires scattered about. I'd hate to have to be in the position where I'd have no choice but to leave my home and risk losing everything or staying and taking the chance of dying defending everything you know.

And yes, there are two suspected arsonists who intentionally set more fires after the fist few blazes came into being, but one originally started because a hunter lit a fire in the woods to signal for help. I'm guessing he wasn't aware of how much destruction his actions have caused, heh.

Someone started the fires on purpose? I didn't know that. Assumed it was all part of normal fire season, but arson is pretty bad.

my brother goes to college near where the fires are....i was talking to him today and he said that he can see the fires from where he lives and his college was closed today because of them.

Yeah things are pretty bad. I still can't believe that someone did this unpurpose.

Yeah, it's sad. Anyway, one of my houses is gone. My friends house (she is in the hospital now). Both of my Aunts and Uncles houses are gone. So, yeah. I'm affected. My pets are dead. My family is in some big sh!t, and my friend. Yuck.
