Yesterday, the president of Malaysia called all leaders of the Muslim world to a meeting in his home country. He made a speech saying that the Jews in that are "left" from the Holocaust took over the world, and all the wars of the world right now are becuase of them. He said that Jews invented Democracy, Socialism, Communism, all as parts of their plan to "take over the world". He ended telling everyone that all the Muslim leaders of the world should unite to fight and finish up the "final solution". He got a standing ovation.

Is it just me, or it this sick? And the sickest thing of all is that today it got a tiny article in the back of the newspaper. The head of the UN did not condem it (rather, he said that he has a point) and no Muslim leader that was at that conference stood up to him! Please tell me what you think. Is another Holocaust on its way?

I disagree. I can't imagine how many times I've heard crap like "that kid jewed me out of my change" or "that's Jewish" or (my favorite) "stop being a Jew!". anti-Semitism is a nasty prejudice which has not gone away in the Weshem...t, it's just gone under the surface. Especially in European countries in particular, which have always had this sort of anti-Semitism in them. And obviously, anti-Semitism is completely out of control in the Middle East and Africa, where Jews are harassed or killed regularly. If anything, anti-Semitism is growing again, because as more and more countries go to hell they need a scapegoat for their problems. And of course, if there's enough fanatics looking for a scapegoat and a vicious government that comes to power promising to give those people what they want... Then you get something like the holocaust, the gulags or the pogroms all over again (to name a few anti-Semitic genocides).

Hmmm...that's a toughie...what to do about that I do not know. There's a kid I know who tries to find anti-semitism in everything, but i think in America it's really not a problem anymore...at least among our generation, yeah, racism is pretty much out here. The Muslim/Jew conflict...been goin for too long for us to find an immediate solution. It's not like it was always this big of a conflict in the Middle East.

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- At the largest gathering of Muslim leaders since September 11, 2001, the controversial Malaysian prime minister, who is stepping down this month after 22 years, stepped up to the podium and left little room for interpretation.

"The Europeans killed six million Jews out of twelve million, but today the Jews rule the world by proxy. They get others to fight and die for them," said Dr. Mahathir Mohamad at the opening of the Organization of the Islamic Conference summit Thursday.

The general theme of Mahathir's speech is a call for Muslims to unite. But even his appeal for an end to suicide bombings is laced with references to Jews as "enemies."

"Is there no other way than to ask our young people to blow themselves up and kill people and invite the massacre of our own people? It cannot be that there is no other way. One point three billion Muslims cannot be defeated by a few million Jews," said the prime minister.

That's appaling! I can't believe that. It's awful that the Jews suffered throughout the Holocaust, and the descrimination still does not stop. Why can't people just accept each other? This bothers me sooo much!

It's a big deal because it was a meeting of ALL the leaders of the Muslim world! 52 countries! And no one even stood up against it. I thought there were some decent countries out there... guess not...

Muslim extremists do this every day. It's no sicker than most of what they say, so why is this one comment such a big deal?
