Like it really matters if you download? Sure it's "morally wrong" but so are a lot of things that go on in this country. So you download and save yourself some money. Big deal. These artists are paid outrageous amounts of money and they should be so flattered that you are willing to take the time to download. I say you do what you do.

You ****ing moron. Stop correcting people when you don't know how to spell yourself. The apostrophe makes it possessive, which would be wrong in that particular sentence you douchebag. I hate teeny boppers.

I feel that you have a choice. You can either buy the artist's cd or you can pay a price to download it. I feel this way because when an artist make music or a song, it takes so much time and effort. It's sort of like me writing an essay for a class and then letting a friend copy it. You really don't want any one benefiting from your hard work unless they put something into it to help you. ANd, I feel that it's the same with these artists. They want you to buy their cds because they feel it's something that shouldn't be for free.

Buy the cd, I live in Canada and they're only $15 for one. If no one buys cds, there won't be any future music. Don't be cheapr, buy the cd, the bands need your support.

its wrong that the kids get sued. its a corprite greed thing. they wont shut down the provider so that the kids will keep downloading.basicly it comes down to sue all the kids not the corperation and make more money.the music i listen to, they dont care about the money as much as the soul.they just play for fun and making some money at the same time.hardcore underground punk!

I like downloading music off the internet, because sometimes you like just a couple of the band's songs, or you want the music right away, or you can't get the CD in your area. I get my music from iTunes, where you pay 99¢ a song & it's perfectly legal. I don't think that people should download music for free, because that is stealing. So when you download music, do it legally!

while in some ways i think it is unfair that artists don't get paid if people download music illegally, who can blame them? if you had to choose: and expensive cd where you only want one song, that is just going to make incredibly rich companies richer, or are you going to buy that song cheap, not reallly thinking whether or not it was legal. I mean come on, is it really going to harm J.lo if she can't buy that extra planet for christmas? if Jay-z won't be able to buy Beyonc'e her own island? i mean i would understand if at least some part of these funds were going to something important, like charity, but they're not. they're just used so that the artists we like can do more outrageous things and make themselves richer.

I see nothing wrong with downloading music if you just want to preview some of the songs. Then you can go off and buy the cd, without worrying that it will be crappy.

I think down loading music is wrong.People put a lot of work into making their music, but instead of going to support their music by buying it from stores, people take advantage by stealing it from computers.I think down loading music needs to STOP!!!

Most of the CD's that I own are the original, but then I also make a copy of them because I just recently got my entire CD collection stolen. Now I make a couple copies of my CD's so that I don't have to start all over again.

I've never downloaded anyway. You should just go out, and buy the CD because everytime you download, that causes whatever artist your downloading to loose money, and it causes record stores to loose money. Did you know that last year, because of loss in all record sales, 150 tower records stores across the nation had to be closed. And now, kids as young as 12 are being sued for downloading their favorite CD's and songs. Even when i went to go join a street team for one of my favorite rock artists, one question they asked you is how you felt about downloading music. Because they know they loose when the fans download the songs. So just go buy a CD for a change, and you won't have to worry about getting sued.

When i download music or burn a c.d. its mainly because i either dont want to buy it because i dont like the band or because i only like one song. My thing is im not going to buy the c.d. anyways, so whats the big deal, wouldnt they rather have me listening to them by an ilegal download than not at all? If i really like a band Im going to buy the cd.

KaZaa installs a lot of spyware and adware on your system. You'd be better off with KazaaLite or using K-Diet on your existing KaZaa, followed by both Ad-Aware and SpyBot.
I don't know about KaZaa, but in KaZaaLite you can simply turn off the feature that allows you share files with others - that way, the RIAA can't browse your hard drive. KL also has a feature that blocks all known RIAA-affiliated and entertainment industry-related services when KL at the IP level, so it is much more difficult for them to access your system at all.

If you have Kazaa you can just stop sharing and you won't be sued cuz I'm sure what they are doing is just searching and then picking a user and seeing how many songs they have and if its a lot they sue them but, if your not sharing than your username will never come up in a search and it decreases your risk of being sued by probably over 90%

I think they finally did the smart thing. The music industry was trying to shoot down downloading music when they could have been charging 99 cents the whole time. In my opinion it's better to download music because you can download your favorite song and not spend 18 dollars for a bunch of crappy songs. I saw a report that said it only costs 49 cents to make the album and yet they are caharging 18 dollars, how fair is that to consumers. I think it is better business for everyone to just download, save your money. I've never downloaded songs since we use to have a sucky computer and I did'nt have a mp3 player. This industry makes millions of dollars a day because we support them so if anyone is complaning about the way celeberties behave just boycott them, I do. It makes your life easier and less strssful since your not supplying them with a paycheck.

I believe you when you say it, but most people downloading arent doing it because they can't afford cd's. its because they don't want to spend the money or they are too lazy. (my case anyway lol) ive tried to stop because i like having a cd case with a cover and cd art and lyrics printed on the inside. I think its worth it.
