Who thinks Gray Davis deserves to be re-called? I do! He lost California's Money! We had job cuts, school cuts, sport cuts, ect. Who do you want to be California's Governor? I want anyone who can get the job done... Maybe Arnold Swarchinagger (spell check?)But Do you think Davis should be re called or not? Why or why not?

Thanks,

marine16-How do you prove any of your statements? Because I don't buy any of it. Why does it matter if he's from Australia? He came to California to find a career. And he found an acting career & got rich. Is there anything bad about that? No! God... you really need to prove these things & I think JusticeConservativism already proved all of them. Good Job!

"Nazi sympathizer"

What proof do you have of that? The only association Arnold has with Nazis is with his relationship with his Father.

"Prejudice against Latinos"

Please elaborate your reason for saying he has a prejudice. Is it due to his policies on immigration? Has he made bigoted remarks in the past that you can prove?

"Prejudice against all other races till he had a 'miracoulous' turn around by voluntering at an outreach center."

Again, give substantial evidence. Also, he's volunteered for numerous organizations, and has helped spearhead after school programs for disadvantaged kids and the Special Olympics over the years. That to me seems to demonstrate a genuine concern, or else very well thought out PR stunts over the years.

"Born in Austria, not California or the U.S.A."

What the hell does that have to do with anything? He came to this country with little money, and proceeded to become a huge success, like many immigrants over the years (my mother included). What gives you the right to dismiss someone as a leader just because they're from another country? Furthermore, what makes you think you can accuse him of prejudice, then go around spouting off xeno-phobic rhetoric like that? It sounds like you're an all around American hypocrite.

Let nos forget some other facts about Arnold...

Nazi sympathizer
Prejudice against Latinos
Prejudice against all other races till he had a "miracoulous" turn around by voluntering at an outreach center.
Born in Austria, not California or the U.S.A.

Would you want him in charge of your State government? I know I wouldn't.

Don't let Dauben distort the facts, there are only less than 200 people running, not 500.

"He supports background checks and waiting periods." Oh I see, thei agrees with Arnold's ban on weapons?

"But I do know the Log Cabin Republicans have "enjoyed exclusive access" to the White House." NAACP chairman and Jessie Jackson both met with the President at the White House. Nieth one of them is a "log cabin repubilcan."

I see you chose to ignore the "similarities" between Bush and Arnold on abortion, how convient after such a radical claim.

"Um, he's not for gay marriage, and I actually forgot what the White House's official stance was on the sodomy ruling." Thanks for proving my point and shoting your point down that Arnold and Bush are the same.

Your wishy-washy claims and responses to those claims make it obvious you don't know crap.

Once again, I fear it was common mistakes, like the ones you have made on this board, that cost you your election.

"If Elizabeth Dole is anything like her husband, God help us." No Republican will challenge Bush (For someone who knows so much about politics I am suprised you made this sloppy mistake"

Feinstein and Boxer - Agreed Dauben

Arianna Huffington - Agreed Dauben

Liberman - The only democratic candidate that makes ANY sense at all.

Gray Davis... hmm... yes he SHOULD be re-called... but does Arnold have to run? He sounds a little "to good to be true" but people will suck it all up... He only wants to get more attention. He also says he want to change Sacromento... what about Fresno, Clovis, Hanford, Half Moon Bay, San Fran., Los Angeles, Merced, Sanger, Stockton, San Diego, Pismo Beach, Groover Beach, Palm Springs, ect? What about all these other cities? I wish Hillary Clinton (sp?) would run... she sounds like she has good ideas, I hope she will win the Presidential Compain (sp) But I can't belive all of these people are running... it's wasting more money, but do the care? No, their going against what there running for... oh well. Joey whats wrong with Liberals? Their standing up for homosexuals (sp), different raceis (sp) ect. I hope those ladies don't win... they soud like they will screw up CA. but I don't see whats wrong with people being a Liberal... Well that's my opinions...

Being a Californian this is affecting me probably the most and ultimately I believe the recall is stupid and a waste of the estimated 70 million dollars. Number one I believe that too much of the blame is falling on Davis, a lot more blame should be placed on the state legislatures and the energy companies who have been found liable for fraud. Even though I believe in social programs, I recognize that California has a problem with spending too much money, in most cases money we don't have. The tech-bubble was a great time for California, bringing in increased revenue of 28%, but California needs a balanced approach to addressing both the short term and long term fiscal challenges of the state, and we must stop state spending that does not match the state economy.
Also California businesses must stop giving out H1b visas. These cause way too many problems for not just California but the whole entire United State's. Many H1B applicants come from India, and in turn they send about 50% of there earned income back to India, this is money that is not in our economy anymore.

If Elizabeth Dole is anything like her husband, God help us.

And soccer, Feinstein and Boxer are California's senators - both ultra-ultra liberal.

Arianna Huffington went ballistic against SUV drivers. She's an ex-Republican and married a congressman before he went fruity on her.

Then they divorced.

Anyway, back to earth here, Hillary Clinton would be the only viable candidate I see as really having a shot at the White House - I mean, the media love her.

But God help us if she ever does run and win.

Glad to see the a$$hole is back.

Right so I guess Bush is also for gay civil liberties, gun control and the woman's right to chose?

Um, he's not for gay marriage, and I actually forgot what the White House's official stance was on the sodomy ruling.

But I do know the Log Cabin Republicans have "enjoyed exclusive access" to the White House.

Hmm.

And yeah, Bush - if you would pay attention - did campaign on gun control. He supports background checks and waiting periods.

Some conservative.

quote:
Perhaps it is common mistakes like that why you lost you campaign for school board.

I don't know exactly what this was supposed to mean, but losing by 19 votes isn't that bad in my opinion.

Plus, what have you run for? You're a little Fascist-in-training marine. If you have knowledge of politics, then let's discuss.

You obviously don't know crap.

"Arnold will win, but he isn't any different than Bush - anyone see his $500 million education initative he endorsed last year?" - Right so I guess Bush is also for gay civil liberties, gun control and the woman's right to chose? Dauben you really need to think before you open you mouth. Just because they agree on one point, does not meaan they are twins. Perhaps it is common mistakes like that why you lost you campaign for school board.

Arnold...

Smoked Pot
Used Steroids
Father was a Nazi
Refused to coment on accusations of sexual harrasment.
Never held a single elected position.
Starred in Twins and Collateral Damage and Conan The Barbarian.

...Yeah, he sounds like a great candidate for governor. But then again the cowards in California would love this shaddy record.

So you idiots think he is "too good" to be true? Well he isn't good at all. All he could do is give a tax break to buisness. Any idiot could that. You people must think common sense is "too good" to be true.

I can guarantee you I would do everything in my power to keep women like Diane Feinstein, Barbara Boxer or Arianna Huffington OUT of public office.

Women are great for advocating public policy, but there are some -- well, lots - who shouldn't be in office at all.

There's like, 500 candidates now that could be on the ballot come October - talk about a free-for-all.

I dunno, I think if we had more Initiative & Referendum laws in each state, plus the will power of activists, we could successfully get this country back to that whole, "for the people by the people" thing.

Of course, Arnold will win, but he isn't any different than Bush - anyone see his $500 million education initative he endorsed last year?

And he's pro-choice and he's pro-gun control and he called the Clinton impeachment a "disgrace."

Watch it, folks.

It might be a little "too good" to be true.
