Democratic Socialism is good in small doses. I was absolutely thrilled to see that most of the Democratic candidates have a plan for universal healthcare, and I believe I even heard one mention trying to make a move to free public university education. Now THAT is what this country needs! I have decided that when it comes time to register I will be a Democrat, even if they are baby killers. Besides, its only prudent for a Democratic candidate to say they are Pro-choice, being that a very large amount of their supporters are.

I've noticed that too, both here and in various places. Some of the socialists and communists on this board admit it, at least, but the socialists and communists out in society are not nearly so upfront.

I've been noticing a lot of communism in people lately. One of the canidates for mayor of SF, Tony Gonza!ez, is an example of someone with communist views. I'm not saying having communist views are bad, I'm just saying communist views aren't well thought out. Equality between people might seem great, but one guy who works his a$$ off at his job shouldn't get the same paycheck as the guy who collects money once a week at a tollboth.

it is usually the leftists who are educated...teachers, professors, etc.

HOWEVER education and intelligence are two COMPLETELY different things.
